Notice that the Environmentalists all go into the woodwork while Oregon and other forests burn.

Someone should give them a pencil and paper and ask them to write a summary of how many board feet of timber were lost, how many animals were lost and last (yes we're last in their book) but not least, how many men were lost in these fires this year (and submit it to Congress).

Now, about global warming....

Now, about looking at our forests.

Take them all out in the woods, make them clean and replant the trees we have lost, make them attend the funerals of the firefighters, post pictures of homes which have burnt down.

This group needs some straightening out.

We were warned and Congress didn't listen.

Maybe they will now. Write your Congress Reps.

Morning!!! Sen. Gordon Smith was in Medford today and interviewed on KCMX radio. Next week he hopes to have President Bush here to view the damage this fire has caused. As Sen. Smith said, "this is ground zero" in this battle. From the last report of the meeting (sorry...I've had a 2 day blinding migrane and could not drive to attend!)even the enviro freaks are willing now to talk about thinning. A proposal was made by Jackson County Commissioner Ric Holt to recover the burned timber and use it to fund the schools so the liberals can stop taxing us to death!!! Smith seems hopeful that this situations is going to change. He says he sees no problem in the house, but a few senators need their mind changed....PLEASE send your senator the interview with the helicopter pilot. He discussed it this morning and wants to push that notion that the USFS is NOT working in anyone's interest. Smith said they "let" Daschle's recent exemption for SD for thinning go through so they could "prove" the need for all of Western States and that the biggest problem with the eastern senators is that none of their land is federally owned like MOST of ours is and they just can't relate.

It's terribly hot today and supposed to reach 110. Pray for rain. I fear the Lord is tired of listening to this sinner.
