The reference was to 7.62x25.. whole different animal
about which I know nothing! Handgun adaptation of the NATO round, maybe...
To: Crowcreek
It's just a point of discussion. If this was the only gun he could afford, that would be one thing. If he had a .357, 9mm, .40 or .45 at home but chose to bring his 7.62X25 along in the car, that might indicate he chose it for its one single area of supremecy among pistols: kevlar penetration.
I think he may have feared police more than average street punks, based on what I have read about him so far. Just a point of discussion.

I've been working alot the past few days, not much time for FReeping. Anyway, I heard that the round in this case hit the cop just below his duty belt, bounced off of his spine, traveled up toward his head, severing his aorta.
The day before this one happened a Cleveland cop got shot in the face by a mental who took away his gun. The cops partner shot and killed the mental. The Cleveland cop is alive and looks like he'll make it.
Both of these are close to home, I'm sure we'll be sending a group to the Massillon officers funeral.
Crime is picking up again, like it was in the early 90's. Be careful out there.
To: Travis McGee
Sorry, heard the round hit him between the duty belt and his vest, in the back.
To: Crowcreek
Thanks.
I'm just going to go with the fact that he used a 7.62 X 25 in a CZ52.

YOU be careful out there Cap'n! You are the one of us on these threads who puts on a kevlar vest to go to work.
To: Travis McGee
Thanks, I've caught myself slipping a little at work, letting my guard down a bit.
If it weren't mandatory I wouldn't wear that vest, too uncomfortable. I didn't wear one for the first 8 years I was on.
To: Cap'n Crunch
Well it's the one your not looking for that'll get you, so keep that vest on!

That case has quite a bit of room for powder there. Got to be pretty potent.

Aye Aye Sir.
Night shift was busy last night. 1 riot, 5 foot chases, 2 officers injured, one needed 3 stitches to close a cut over his eye when someone smacked him in the head with a phone.
What I really need is kevlar for my legs and arms, I had 4 pit bull calls today. Had to bring out my "pit bull pacifier" (Mossberg 12 guage)
To: Cap'n Crunch
LOL! What a job!
To: Travis McGee
I did make sure I got my doughnuts.
To: Cap'n Crunch
Where was the riot at Cap'n?
To: ResistorSister
Taylor, who also fired back, was hit and dropped to the gravel. His bulletproof vest didnt save him Interesting little factoid .... police vests can't stop a Tokarev or Cz52 round ?
To: Travis McGee
The choice of this archaic round which is very lacking in "stopping power" compared to most modern rounds (9mm, .357, .40, .45 etc) brings up the possiblity that it was chosen for its one standout feature: it's ability to penetrate kevlar. Bear in mind that these pistols are coming in as surplus and going for a little as 119.00 on some web sites. Price may be just as significant a factor as well as power.

Hey, need some advice. Going to talk to some scouts tonight about drugs. I guess the age group ranges from little ones up to teens.
Think I should tell them that dope dealers hide the drugs in their rectums????
Half of them probably won't know what a rectum is.
To: Cap'n Crunch
Drugs in rectum damn near killed 'em?

The riot was on the east side of the city. I heard the enemy was launching 40 ouncers at the guys. Been to a number of them myself. I remember them throwing empty 40's at me once and I was standing next to a woman holding an infant. Good thing their aim is lousy. I waved 'em Maggies Drawers.
Then I heard they had a large fight in another high crime area and they were launching 40's there too.
Figures I missed all the fun.

Alot of them hide the crack cocaine between the cheeks of their butts. Some of the hard corps ones hide the dope inside their rectum.
About a month ago my marital arts buddy was strip searching a guy and had him bend over. The guy had a plastic bag sticking out of his rectum. They made him pull it out and it was a golf ball size bag of crack cocaine.
It's rather common.
I wonder how many of the people who smoke that stuff know that.

I missed this raid but our SWAT team raided a crack house. They found the crack dealer in bed with another man "gettin' busy." Guy gave it up for some crack cocaine.
Sick people.
I better not go to this meeting, I'll probably get alot of complaints.
