HAS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY CRUMBLED AND FALLEN IN CALIF . INTO A HOPELESS SPIRAL ? YES . WHY ?
Not allowed to mention .Clue : Newspaper named after big city , function of a clock | August 4th, 2002 | Major Southern Caalif. newspaper

Posted on 08/11/2002 2:07:42 AM PDT by voa-davidk

IT'S OVER !The article in Sunday Aug . 4 th 's newspaper named after the function of a clock and a big city stated as it's headline that companies that usuaally give to Republicans have gone over to contribute campaign money to Davis. The main reason for it : That Davis has threatened corporations , telling them through his strategist ' Pay or else you will pay for it if you don't. Contribute to Republicans , and I'll legislate against you .' Corporations are going to Davis out of this fear "A lot of people have told me they'll be ccruccified ... the word I've probably heard most often " , said one GOP fund raiser who works for Bill Simon . " People say to me , " We don't want to endure the govoner's wrath ." Well , would not this make a great Simon TV ad it itself ?!BRIBERY ! AND HOW ABOUT AN INVESTIGATION ,AND A LAWSUIT BY JUDICIAL WATCH ? Sems to theaaauthor here that such aare in order . No ? If not , why not ?. ( SEE THE ARTICLE ! ANY ONE READING IT WOULD SAY , " THIS IS BRIBERY "!

Why try to help , volunteer for , or give our haard earned money to this downhill spiraling California Republican Party ,when they let the Democrats coach their football game for them . Bob Dole let the opposition do it in 1996 ,when the Democrats said ," The American public is tired of mud slinging , it must stop ." Republicans across the board and Bob Dole fell for it . Bob Dole refused to negative campaign . The Democrats turned around and constantly negative campaigned , and we lost . Republicans to this day are STILL falling for it , and Democrats are still turning around negative campaigning to a fury .WHY ?!

The Republican establishment will forever be failurites until we realize we need to wake up and raise up a new breed of brave , courageous candidates who are not naive about who the opposition is we are facing , realize the ominous destructive nature and failure of their ( liberals , Democrats )ideas , our ideas are better, good ffor America, our State, and they work , and we need to promote people to run for office among us who will stand on 'PRINCIPLE - OVER - POLITICS '.

We might as well let the bugler symbolically call taps for the Bill Simon campaign , because it's over folks. And the horse barely got out of the starting gate before the horse just layed down and went to sleep . And he still hasn't woken up from his knap. It's over, unless good guy Bill Simon learns this one lessson from a campaign book at the Anaheim public library on how to campaign for elected office : ATTACK EARLY , AND ATTACK OFTEN !!!!!

The Aug . 4th newspaper article revealed that Davis spent $10 million dollars sspecifically on negative ads against Richard Riordan in the 2002 primaary caampaaign . Well ,why in the name of the dumbest ddonkey on earth can't Bill Simon spend $10 milion dollars out of his $ 22 million dollars to do attack ads on Davis ?Davis has raised $ 50 million .

Why give time to volunteer for candidate for Govoner Simon ?

We will NEVER win baack the Gononerssship , Senate nor the assembly unless Republicans wake up .Will you let Govoner Davis kill our health care , it's quality aand affordability , by illegal aaliens ovrercrowding our hospitals, bankrupting our hospitals for free health caare ? The same with our schools ?.

In conclusion ,LET THE following sink in about the corrupt Govoner Davis , who's corrupt Democrat party structure in large part is built on the foundation of illegal aliens . The following was told to me personally by a customer of mine .This lady told me of an illegal alien who told her the following shortly after Grey davis was elected to Govoner of California in 1998 . With the election of Davis a done deal ,the illegal alien told her happily, " We can come and go as we please ".

In the same newspaper qouted above , an article detailed newly elected Grey Davis's visit to Mexico early in 1999 .The paper qouted a Mexican politician in Mexico describing newly elected California Grey Davis in this manner , word for word ( I read it myself ) , qoute from a Mexican politician in Mexico , " He is like a Mexican Govoner . " 8/10/02

The Democrats use Republican tax money to give away and buy votes with, and the people get addicted to all that social spending. They have no incentive to change. The Republicans don't like big government, so they effectively ceded it to the Liberals at a great cost, in every sense of the word. The Republicans don't like teacher unions, so they ceded our schools and our children to the Liberals from pre-school through graduate school. The impression is that Republicans seem to be always looking for things to be against, leaving no time to to say what they are for. And that's just the beginning.

I was not aware that the state of Kalifornica paid the full costs of a child to any school the parents wanted the child to attend. Most parents have to consider the economic factors, if both parents are working to support the tax demands of the welfaew state.

On the national level, the Republican legislators have went from eliminating the Department of Education to increasing spending by twenty billion over an already bloated bureaucracy. If this isn't appeasing the Liberals, I don't know what you could call it.

What? Do YOU work in the schools?
No.
Who decides where children go to school? Parents, that's who.
±Correct. The parents can decide, for example, which Liberal-controlled public school to send their children to.
So if 90 percent of California parents send their kids to the socialist government school system, who's fault is that?
If that's what they want to do, then they're dumb and happy and socialism gets stronger. If they don't want that, it's too bad for many of them because, as I said, the schools and education, for the most part, have been "left" to the Liberals.

I don't think it's the repubs who are whining - it's the dems who are whining. The reason they are is simply because Simon is leading in the polls, and all their stinking ads against Simon have not brought Simon down.

Also, this is just typical of what the dems do when they feel backed into a corner. They lie and say the repubs have lost it and nobody's donating to their campaign, and everybody's giving up and not doing anything for Simon.

Whenever I hear them begin this type of campaign, I know we're doing things right.

If you aren't involved in public education, then you, too, have "left" the schools to the liberals. So it's a bit hypocritical for you to blame Republicans for this.
I think it's constructive, not hypocritical, for a member of a group to point out any shortcomings or a need for changes in priorities within the group.
If parents don't like what the public schools are doing, then they have the options to enroll their children in private schools (millions of Americans do that) or to homeschool (millions of Americans, including my wife and I, do this).
If the option costs more than the parent(s) can afford or the parent(s) can't effective home school a child, than those are not options. Your statement seems to consider these people as non-entities.
Keep in mind that George W. Bush got a majority of the votes in California -- among non-Hispanic white voters. What has tilted the scales of political power in California are millions of Mexican immigrants.
The tone of that statement has a "them" against "us" anti-immigrant color conscious sound to it. That's a fatal combination for any political party. The GOP ignored that sector when it was a minority and is still not effectively engaging it now that it is a majority. It was and is a serious strategic mistake.

I am rather skeptical about middle-class Californians -- who are among the richest people on the planet

"Middle class" is, in California, "poor."

-- saying they "can't afford" anything but public schools. What they mean, I suppose, is that they "can't afford" to do that and also keep up the payments on their $2 million home and their Ford Explorers.

More like that they can't afford their $400,000 homes, the obscene property taxes on same, the rather high sales tax, their car payments, the high price of gasoline (high due to the restrictive formulation that CARB requires--we can't "import" gasoline from other states if one of our six refineries has a hiccup) the obscene taxes on said gasoline, their very high electricity bills (because supply has not kept pace with demand), and the other aspects that make the cost of living out here something that has to be experienced to be believed.

Now, maybe they can spend a lot less on housing. But, for some odd reason, people with kids usually opt to not live in slums. (Parents tend to be weird that way.)

The Democrats use Republican tax money to give away and buy votes with, and the people get addicted to all that social spending.

The Republicans don't like teacher unions, so they ceded our schools and our children to the Liberals from pre-school through graduate school.

The impression is that Republicans seem to be always looking for things to be against, leaving no time to to say what they are for.

And that's just the beginning.

I have waited and waited for the weenie Republicans ever since Gingrich and the '94 Republican House stood up against Clinton's lying administration to take charge instead of running for cover like a bunch of cockroaches each time scumbag Clinton and his old woman threatened them with the exposure of something in their past.

It was a beautiful dream and a tremendous start but who folded first and then like dominoes the big talking Republicans fell beginning with Gingrich and following, until all we have left is the laughing stock on top of the garbage heap of Republican History.

This has only increased the Republican's inability to fight the fight of these dirtbag Dems with their own kind of back stabbing, lying trickery.

The Republicans have no leadership either in the House and for sure not in the Senate, and worst of all nothing of ANY substance from the Bush Whitehouse.

Bush has either said too much(something he couldn't back up)or has no America First agenda worth putting his political future on the line.

I for one(being long retired)am about ready to go ahead and accept all this largess the corrupted Dems are offering.

Tell me, what the Republicans are offering they can deliver by outsmarting the Dems.

Listen, you posturing Republicans,"NO GUTS NO GLORY" and for sure no re-election!!"BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!

Weren't you paying attention during the L.A. riots? Don't you understand how much the average Hispanic hates white people?

The political power bottom line: ¿How many votes are we talking about?

...Hispanics have cast their lot with the Democrats -- and there is nothing Republicans can do to change it.

To oversimplify it, they have no choice but to find some way to change it — in California and across the country — whatever it takes.

Nope.Ain't doin' it . His campaign is a totally lost cause, mark my words , he will not win.

Republicans ( Simon )refuse to get out of the fox hole and stand up and fight and contend against and with the wicked .In other words , they would rather not fight and lose ,rather than fight ,lose a few and then eventually win the day and the future of Calif . . They are blind , short sighted andcan't see beyond the next election . They will continue to churn out the same failur-ites from the same mold unless there is an organized , focused , disciplined , and principled movement to change it . 8/12/02
