It is very easy to dislike the regime in Saudi Arabia. It has, after all, one of the most corrupt and dissolute royal houses in history. This kleptocracy of cousins has ruthlessly suppressed dissent within its borders at the same time it was bankrolling the most extreme fundamentalist movements in other nations of the Muslim world.

So, basically, the entire editorial tells us the Saudi government is a bunch of crooked, terrorist backing, despots...but, dammit, we should listen to them...because they are
critical of Bush foreign policy.

I like your posts, and pay particular attention as my son will be returning to the "City of Evil" in a couple of weeks.
But I think you have it wrong here. Maybe this editorial is written in a slighly PCCYA way, but it says a lot of things that need to be known by all those folks wandering around "Ho Square."
