In a bid to win more money from the White House for Ground Zero rescue and recovery workers, Sen. Hillary Clinton has promised to take some of them to President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch to help clear brush while she and the president discuss the issue.
Clinton said that she would be willing to "put on a pair of work gloves" herself if it would convince Bush to meet with her, but apparently she's reserving any real work for the 9-11 heroes.
"I am sure the guys I bring with me will be happy to help out," she said Thursday.
Clinton wants $25 million in extra funding for long-term screening and clinical exams for workers at the site, the Associated Press reported. The Bush administration is already funding a similar program with $32 million.
The White House said late Thursday that it was unlikely Mrs. Clinton would be invited to the Bush ranch anytime soon.

The White House said late Thursday that it was unlikely Mrs. Clinton would be invited to the Bush ranch anytime soon. Hahaha! Talk about gall. She can't bear to be out of the spotlight. Shouldn't she be back in her adopted state visiting with her constituents instead of worrying about what's going on in Crawford? Work gloves won't look good with the crusty black pantsuit.

Put her clearing a few acres with grass burrs and she'll be skedaddlin' back to NYC in a NY minute.

Hillary should know better than to go near a ranch. People can never tell the difference between her face and the horses' rear ends.

Judging from the reception Hillary recieved at the tribute to the 9/11 heroes in New York, I doubt to many of them will be signing up to go anywhere with her

Just wait until September 11 gets here. She and that slimy husband of hers will be plopping their fat butts front and center in front of everyone, to make sure their faces are all you see during the televised memorials.

LOL! I can just hear the cattle asking each other what that smell is, when she arrives.

Yes, they will never go away. She will be front and center with her loving family to show the world she is working for the good people of NY. CNN and the networks will devote an entire camera crew to them. We'd better stay with Fox.

The White House said late Thursday that it was unlikely Mrs. Clinton would be invited to the Bush ranch anytime soon. Laura Bush is probably concerned about losing some silverware

Lady, I would strongly advise you NOT to turn your back on those happy "guys" of yours. If this isn't from The Onion, it should be...as with all Clintonite behavior.. I personally know a few NYFD actual Heroes who would go on a Union Coffee Break while what you call your "husband" and your house burned to the ground.
Never Forget 9-11. Never forget who makes kissy-nice to animal murder despots. I'll TELL you which way the wind is blowing, madam smartest woman in the world....it's blowing out the door, taking rememberance of YOU and YOURS back to the trash-heap of history...where your scholarship-winning-but-not-fulfilling "husband" got his personality, and moral code. Obviously, character doesn't matter....TO YOU.

Is Hill really sure she wants to go out in the boonies with a bunch of these guys? They might come back alone, whistling a happy tune.

I think President Bush should call her bluff. My bet is that New York PD and FD wouldn't want any part of Hillary's little pr stunt.

Wouldn't you like to see what the old dragon would wear? I would love to see her roasting in that ratty black Mao suit in the August Texas sun. I can't picture her wearing something that the "untouchables" would wear.

I would put her in the help's quarters and make sure the air-conditioning was "broken." Also, let her entourage share the same quarters with Her Thighness.
To: kattracks
I think if she wants to put on some work gloves and do some manual labor there are probably plenty of opportunities in her "home" state.
