I say he should..
Bill 'O is making a fortune, Rush Limbaugh is making a fortune.. The Conservative ideal sells, it's worth something and when given a chance we dominate in every way, shape and form..
So, what's so different about FR? Why should FR be exempt from these rewards?
Your comments please.

I firmly beleive Jim and John should both be making a living off FR.
Their whole lives are taken up to keep it going, and like you and I,
they should earn a good living from their life's work.

Would you oppose or favor Mr. Robinson making a profit from FR.A profit???
Of course not!!!
Profits are for those sleazy greedy capitalists who oppose the masses, starve little children and throw grandma's in the street.
We want 24 hour, 7 day a week, 365 days a year free access to his property to use as we see fit with out any restrictions on what we say or how we act.
Long live DU................Oh' wrong web site.
All kidding aside, Mr. Robinson can make as much money as he legally is able to and I could care less what anybody thinks about it.
Shut this site down for a day or two and half of you folks would paid a small fee to browse and post again after having the shakes for a day.

I'm with you Hoffa. Jim had an idea and he saw it to fruition. He should reap some apples.

I say yes
To: Jhoffa_
JR should absolutely make as much money as he can from this site.

I think anyone who expects that Jim should devote so much time and energy to this site and not reap some financial reward should march into their bosses office first thing tomorrow morning and demand a huge pay cut.

What Jim R decides to do with this website is his business. If he wants to make money fine. If he wants to charge an annual fee, fine. If he wants to go to Hawaii, fine. That's his business. I only hope that he doesn't resort to pop-ups.

Who's "whining about finaces"?>
JR out of the goodness of his heart and patriotism to his country provided this forum for thousands of conservatives who otherwise would merely be venting to their spouses and the mirror. The man merely has asked that his expenses be covered -- it's only right...
As to the question of the ages -- Should Jim Robinson make a buck or two from his sometimes thankless website -- WHY NOT??
To: Jhoffa_
Non-profit groups can always pay salaries to hired workers. What is the difference here? Don't Jim and his son work for FR? Why don't they take a salary already? Hell, I pay my monthly fee to use the site, and I expect it to be functioning properly when I come here. That means someone should be getting paid for that purpose.

If he doesn't, he should.
Sheesh!
To: Jhoffa_
My vote: Jim should make a profit from FR.

Jim Robinson should pay himself a salary, and anyone who doesn't like it doesn't need to contribute to FR or visit it.
To: Jhoffa_
Jim Robinson? Who is Jim Robinson?
Man, that'd make one heckuva graffito, wouldn't it? Ayn's dead now, let's rip her off...
To: Jhoffa_
Of course he should make money from FR.

Would you oppose or favor Mr. Robinson making a profit from FR.F A V O R ! ! !
To: Jhoffa_
Agree in principle - but I'm not a freeloader and already contribute to the maintenance of this site. I sometimes feel like I'm subsidizing a$$holes at times, especially when a poster is taking advantage of their freedom of speech and INSULT (not just disagree) other Freepers, which is one of my pet peeves! My only concern is it would dilute the posters contributing. That would be a big sacrifice - even if some of them are in my humble opinion the biggest jerks on earth!

I think he should--he is working at keeping this forum up and running for us--it's his job--it's what he does!!!
To: Jhoffa_
Good grief. I'm appalled at the audacity of such a question. It is absolutely none of my business or that of anyone else what the man does with his site. It is
his site for God's sake. If a few whining freeloaders don't like it here they need to go somewhere else or better yet try starting their own site. You know it is really too bad all the Einsteins who know so danged much about how to run this country and FR are just too busy sitting before their computers whining and scratching their behinds all the blessed day.
For the record... Yes, I hope he earns a ton of money. FR is great.
