Informal Poll: Should Jim Robinson make money from FR?
Today, don't ask me to be more specific..

I am sick of the whining about FR's finances.
Free Republic has become the Rush Limbaugh of the internet and all this complaining about who is doing what and profiting thus is making me Ill. It's a circular argument and I am tired of it.
Real Conservatives reward success. We honor it.
As a final end to this:
Would you oppose or favor Mr. Robinson making a profit from FR.

I hope JR is making money with this HUGE endeavor to keep us all up to the minute in the world's events.
I have foregone my local paper, WSJ and IBD which makes up for what I send here in donations. Better JR gets it than the owner of my local liberal rag! (which, btw, becomes parrot cage paper should one find its way into my house.)

We're all saying that we DO NOT CARE how much they make over and above what it cost to run this place. This bears repeating, over and over and over and over again....

I have no problem with JR making a profit on Free Republic.
If the market is willing to support the enterprise its fine by me!!!

I am continually amazed. First we have a core group of freepers that resort to the politics of personal destruction. And now we have some creating inflated charges nothing short of creating class envy. Damn. You'd think Al Gore is the one pulling their strings.

A hearty yes and amen to all who say JimRob should make a profit - as a matter of fact, Rush is the first person who came to my mind when I read the title.
Thanks again, Jim and John, the nameless moderators, and countless others who labor tirelessly to make FR the greatest site in the universe!

"Dear 'Slick,'" ......Having BEEN in the "Real World" for 20+ yrs, I suspect that your "Overhead Estimate" is about 100% off!!
Currently, NO "Private Business" in America pays much less than 50% of it's income to "The Government!!"
We are 90% "Socialist" as we speak!!
JimRob gets a MERE Fraction of the FR Donations!! WAKE UP!!

-- Theres a good one, the 'right' to be inconsistant. - I give up on you willy. -- Whatever.
Yeah, it's predictable that a troll would sneer at that one. It's JR's website, JR's rules and JR's right to be "inconsistant".
-- Whatever. -- How many times do you want me to repeat this willy? - I don't a care what your opinion on the matter is, get it?
IMHO, he actually is remarkably fair, tolerant and prudent in the administration of his authority. But if he so chooses, it is his right to be as "unfair" and "biased" as he wants to be whenever he wants to be. You are simply too egocentric to concede that point.
It is not a valid 'point', it is your own egocentric opinion.
There are threads at FR discussing these points on bias & overcontrol that are thousands of posts long, with every concieveable POV. - You're acting like I'm the only one thats ever questioned things around here.
Get a new grip on reality. -- And find someone else to fixate upon.

Talk to John.
I type in dashes to separate individual replies, they come out as lines.
