I Walked into a Crowd of War Protesters with my Sign

BOMB IRAQ

A few hours ago I was driving down my main street and I saw war protesters lined up in the commons protesting the up coming war with Iraq. I pulled around and parked in the parking garage and walked up to main street to a office supply store and purchased a poster board and marker and made my sign. I sat in the aisle and made the sign.

I walked out to the protesters and unfolded the sign and stood there. You would of thought a army had gone against them. They jerred me with will you look at that Bomb Iraq that is disquesting. One or two of the commies walked over and said they wanted to talk it over. I let them rant on while holding the sign up for all to see.

There were many thumbs up and horn blowing from people driving by. A War Vet and a few others came over to say what I was doing was right and Iraq must be stopped. Of course that began a war of words with everyone trying to shout out their side of the matter. The protesters tried to bring up Scott Ritter and all his BS. It did not work.

Finally most of them gathered their signs and left and it was just me and a few of the people that suported what I was doing and one war protester. Finally he was out numbered and left. He said they were finished with the protest anyway. LoL....

All in all it was a good day to protest the commie rats and their Anti-American spew....

Your post of my response was rather disingenuous, don't you think? You wrote:

AND......I trust our President. I don't believe that the case has to be made to the people at all.

You then went on to post your outrage at my post.

Whereas, if you look at my TOTAL post, it reads much different and negates the reason for your outrage.

My total post was:

I don't believe that the case has to be made to the people at all. He is the Commander In Chief and when the time is right, he will talk to us. And not before. Nor should he.

Your assertion re: my thinking that going to war is some sort of privilege is patently false. The entire difference between us, I think, is that you want to know NOW why this is being considered/planned, and I am willing to wait, knowing that President Bush will tell me in good time.

"I don't see it."

Gas was 1.51 here (So. Cal.) for two months then dropped to 1.49 and a week later is now 1.53.

The USA is storing 25 million gallons of oil between now and Jan, 2003.

So you think we should BOMB IRAQ? How many troops would you be willing to put at risk?

Iraq is a terrorist state that is already putting our troops and civilians around the world at risk and has for may years.

Use the rat poison before the rats are out of control.

It looks like you did not get the point I tried to make, and that is: I would rather risk our brave, and gallant troops to fight , and get rid of saddam, than lose thousands of innocent civilian lives, if we don't take care of the madman of iraq. Plain enough?

This "no proof" argument was also used against going into WW2. The public poo-pooed information about the concentration camps and said there was no proof. They fell for tactics like the bogus Red Cross "inspection" of Terezenstat, which is exactly what Saddam has in mind for the "inspections" he has now offered to the UN and US. I can't wait for the cable TV equivalent of the newsreel feature, "Hitler Builds the Jews a Town!"

The fact that you cite Vietnam gives some insight into your ideology, which, I presume, would be against war in virtually any event. You ask for "proof." Do you read? Just the NY Times or other sources? If you read the experts on the area with an open mind, you would find plenty of evidence that this is a guy who is a danger to the world.

You state, "This isn't WW2." No, it's not. It's even more perilous because the enemy is dispersed and is ensconsed in every nation in the world.

By the way, Iraq never surrendered in the 1991 war. This is only a cease-fire, predicated on Saddam's compliance with all of the conditions imposed by the UN at the time. For nearly 5 years, he has not complied. What does this tell you? What does it tell you that the previous Administration let him get away with it, not to mention the UN?

Howdy fivetoes!,
How about this guy! We could use him anyday at our FReep.

TBLSHOW!!, We are proud of you, a true patriot. The subversive agitators on this thread are clueless. They are Saddam's Useful Idiots.

The WWII generation taught me one thing to never forget. When a tyrant like Hitler arises again,(and they always do), KILL HIM. Yes folks, kill Saddam and his band of thugs. The pacifists out ther won't like it but who cares.

For the rest of you reading this please go to the home page and read about OPERATION INFINITE FREEP. This is catching on.

I object to even spending money on nukes.
Why? Its just a very effective explosive.
The governments of Iran, Iraq, Saudi and Kuwait are enemies of their own people.
They need to go.

Because they're not worth the investment!

They need to be overthrown by black ops, and the whole lot of them murdered in their sleep. I'm opposed to fielding American armies and risking the lives of thousands of kids on a bunch of camel jockeys who don't deserve anything more than a military coup and an American puppet government.

We're going to start a conventional war with these pukes and risk the lives of our kids, the life of any one of whom is worth more than that of everyone in the entirety of Iraq, just because we're afraid of what France might say if we just send a commando team in there and kill Saddam and all his generals (JUST for instance) or the entire Saudi "Royal" Family (Just for another instance) instead of "Behaving In A Civilized Manner" toward a bunch of goat-f***ing barbarians who don't even WANT civilization in their stinking third-world bugholes.

That's what we've been doing for the last 50 years. Its doesn't work.

We're going to start a conventional war with these pukes and risk the lives of our kids, the life of any one of whom is worth more than that of everyone in the entirety of Iraq,

This is why we should use small 10-100 kton class devices. Its not worth the lives of our troops. After the 3rd or 4th city gets smoked, they'll surrender. Terms are unconditional no UN bs.

just because we're afraid of what France might say if we just send a commando team in there and kill Saddam and all his generals (JUST for instance) or the entire Saudi "Royal" Family (Just for another instance) instead of "Behaving In

I doubt a commando team could do the job..Maybe this would make a nice Bruckenheimer flick, but this won't work in the real world. Cruise missles were designed to be nuclear. Lets use them.

"Plain enough?"

Plain enough, and I agree. I just don't like the term "innocent Civilians" , it makes me wonder just what the hell our men and women in uniform are guilty of, other than loving this country so much they are willing to die defending it?
