I don't think the veto would be overturned the Republicans would probably not buck the will of a Republican President.

I believe that most of we Freeper types are probably as conservative as Hannity. Because his income depends upon his being CONSISTENTLY conservative even regarding issues that he is not totally sold on. We do not have that burden.

If most of us see something we think is wrong with a fellow conservative or a conservative cause, we will openly discuss and debate that issue HONESTLY. Our jobs do not require us to to try to look sincere about something conservative in which we are not convinced. I believe Hannity doesn't have that luxury.

I supported the president's election but I am not happy with some of the things that he has done and have felt free to, as Hannity might proclaim, badmouth my president. For instance, his reaction to the deaths of five of our fellow US citizens has been totally unsatisfactory to me and I have stated that opinion here in strong terms without repurcussions. Can Hannity really compare our interaction on this great site with the somewhat limited freedom to express his complete opinions on his national TV show? I really doubt it. If my logic has merit, then Hannity has badmouthed us unfairly.

I don't know that either. Can we start an investigative thread here to see if that is true?
Here are SOME answers, from today's thread:

Ann Coulter vs. Lanny Davis on Sean Hannity's Show Right Now!
The Sean Hannity Show ^ | 8/2/02 | Pyro7480

Ann Coulter is debating politics with Lanny Davis on Sean Hannity's radio show right now! Davis is using the typical liberal tactics, and Ann is calling him on it.

I listened to it and Lanny, who I cannot stand, the professional liar, accused Ann of doing exactly what he was doing. He is a wimp and a punk. Ann stood up to him and slapped his hypocritical a$$ down. Unlike Sean. To tell the truth I think Ann is more of a man than both Lanny and Sean. I think Hannity is a bit of a Boyscout.

I think Hannity heard you. He just said he was disheartened by the direction FR was going. Said if he wanted to be yelled at he could go to a DU site.

I thought you had thicker skin than that, Sean!

"To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.

Please convert to English, does not compute. But by all means, Sean, the conservative hegemony must be preserved. Just like your stupid WoD. And, Free Republic has never been about anything but free debate which Hannity should LOVE."

Well said. Hannity is ok I guess, just a little luke-warm for my tastes in the conservative arena.

Hannity should go to a liberal board. He´s a liberal after all. Conservatives aren´t perfect. If Hannity wants conservatives to be able to act like liberals and prevent conservatives from calling them on their actions, then he´s in the wrong party. Clinton got that kind of blind support from democrats. Conservatives aren´t that stupid are they?

"Nobody( except for Ron Paul and formerly Trafficant) talks about abolishing the income tax."

I believe Jim Trafficant was motivated to fight with the IRS because they made him pay taxes on money that he got by illegal means. It was not for us.

See what I mean thats why there is so much infighting there are too many spies and saboteurs in the conservative movement. I wish we could infiltrate the libs that way but conservatives are by nature more honest and less suitable for that kind of work.

Whatever his motives( and I believe they were sincere witnesses are NOT a reliable form of evidence especially in political cases) it doesn't change the fact that he was one of the only pols willing to fight the IRS.

His Fox TV show has had Hillary on (twice, I think) and he hasn't interviewed her yet, only Colmes. Frankly, I think he's afraid she'll eat him up.

Hannity has said several times that Hillary would not give him an interview & he would love to take her on. Have you ever seen O'Reilly interview her? No, she won't give him an interview either.

>FR's tend to cannibalize conservatives.

That's because conservatives taste better than liberals.
Though i've heard mention on FR that PETA girls taste pretty good too.

What B.S. Hannity is pretty self-righteous about his smug brand of conservatism - he bashes Republicans and conservatives all the time.

Sean is just one of the excuse making group of Republicans that have selective morality. Small government is good when the democrats are in power but when the republicans hold the house and the whitehouse all of a sudden small government goes out the window.

It's easier for some to attack the messenger than the message. Scorched earth--it's not restricted to one political camp. Destroy the messenger in hopes of destroying the message.

Clinton was a classic sociopath( no sense of right and wrong) in that he could lie constantly and was comfortable doing so. So it does not take guts for a sociopath to lie like he did its second nature to them.
