'But maybe the dogs would take you' Makes sense. I mean, she is a female dog, right? What is it they call those?

"He looked at me, and in those days that was before I learned how to wear contact lenses. I had these really thick glasses on.
"He said, 'How bad's your eyesight?' I said, 'It's pretty bad'.... And he said, 'How bad?' So I told him. He said, 'That's pretty bad.'
"And he finally said to me--he said, 'You're too old. You can't see. And you're a woman.' And then he went on--and since this is the birthday of the Army, I will tell you what the rest that he said was--this man--young man was a Marine. He said, 'But maybe the dogs would take you.'"
I think the recruiter CALLED her a dog.

She had a waist to thigh ratio of 1:1. Unacceptable to the Marines at that time.

"I was already a lawyer. I thought there were some roles I could perform, and I was going on and on, you know, trying to justify my existence.................
You know, just like every other lawyer who wants to serve their time in the service of their country instead of getting into practice and PAYING OFF STUDENT LOANS.
And then he went on--and since this is the birthday of the Army, I will tell you what the rest that he said was--this man--young man was a Marine. He said, 'But maybe the dogs would take you.'"..............
Based upon looks alone it looks like THE DOGS DID TAKE HER.

The Marine recruiter could tell a shit bird from the beginning.
If she had been in ernest about enlisting, there isn't anything they wouldn't have done to try and get her in.
I know from experience.
Ps. Even the dogs thought she was a howler!

She also claims to have played soccer in middle school. She's a year or 2 older than I. Soccer WAS NOT even on the radar screen in the 50's.
She also claimed to be named for Sir Edmund Hillary.
I seriously wonder if the evil sinator has ever told the truth.

"So I walked into our local recruiting office, and I think it was just my bad luck that the person who happened to be there on duty could not have been older than 21, was in perfect physical shape. What the hell did that pig expect, a donut munching cop?

I'm sure the terrorists will be quaking in their boots at the sight of "Commander Clinton" and "Private Rodham" coming over the hill.
Ugh!
