Neal Horsley, the militant anti-abortionist who gained notoriety by publishing the names and addresses of abortion clinic workers on the Internet, has launched his own ISP and Web-hosting business.

The Georgia activist set up We Choose Life Net to kill two birds with one stone: to create a virtual community of like-minded abortion protesters, and to provide himself with a steady income.

"Now when someone sends us an e-mail complaining about my sites, we send them back a form letter that says we don't care what they think," Horsley said. "Their complaints are without merit."

These people are nuts! They are also harming the pro-life message by blending it with Gestapo tactics.

Planned Parenthood lost a lawsuit attempting to ban the Nuremberg Files when the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the site was considered political speech and therefore covered by First Amendment protections

Does any one out there know what in the heck this is about??????????
It appears I missed it totally.

No, the people that are nuts are the ones that are killing their babies.

There is nothing Gestapo about taking public information and making it public.

I remember reading somwhere a quote from the anti-life movement saying that the anti-abortion movement countered it's own argument. If they really believed babies were being slaughtered by the millions they would probably act more forcefully.

What do you believe is going on in the abortion mills, Dak?

Shalom.

I know what is going on at the abortion mills - murder. My disagreement is with this outfits tactics, not their motives. My concern is not with my perception of what they are doing, but the perception of the public at large. It reinforces the image far too many have of the pro-life movement as being a collection of thugs and whackos.

To an extent I understand your position. But the counter position runs something like this:

Would we have gone to war to rescue the Jews from the Nazis? If so, why are we afraid to be a bit brash about our own holocaust?

Recognize that I'm pointing 4 times as many fingers at me as at anyone else when I say this.

All the Neuremburg Files did was post the names and addresses of abortion providers on a Web page. This is publicly available information. AFAIK they did not post information that they received through any illegal methods. They do not ask anyone to kill them, but it is a vivid reminder that abortionists are far worse than any criminals tried at Neuremburg.

It's the extremist whackos on the pro-death side who want to make it look like the Neuremburg page was created by thugs. It's spin, not substance.

Shalom.

Agreed 100%. It's just my feeling that since the mainstream media is so overwhelmingly pro-death, our side needs to keep itself extra squeaky clean and not give them so much as a single crumb to use against us in the PR battle.

Agreed 100%. It's just my feeling that since the mainstream media is so overwhelmingly pro-death, our side needs to keep itself extra squeaky clean and not give them so much as a single crumb to use against us in the PR battle.

I know that you and I are on the same team, so don't let my 'thinking out loud' here be misinterpreted as any quarrel with you personally.

Recently my wife and I came under investigation by the local Gestapo - er - Child Protection Services. Someone turned in an anonymous tip and the ball began to roll. I am not the one who suggested they were Gestapo, two lawyers I talked to gave them that name. They have incredible power and once they suspect you you are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. They are also not constrained to investigate only the actual tip. They can investigate anything they want to.

Normally in a circumstance like that I drop my gloves and get ready to punch as hard as the law will allow. However, my wife was terribly concerned that they might actually remove our children and asked me to comply as much as possible. So I toned it down and we put up with their greif for two months and several hundred dollars in legal bills. (It could have been far worse, but the lawyer was a pro-family Christian and he took it easy on us.) In one conversation with my father (a retired lawyer) he told me that he would have taken it to them and made them fight in court for every piece of information they asked for. I mentioned my wife's fear and he said, "You can't let that fear cause you to roll over and play dead. You have your rights and should fight for them."

Non-sequitor but I'll tie it together later: Ronald Reagan never whined about the liberal media bias. He never complained about how the game was stacked against him. He didn't spend a lot of time pussy-footing around his positions or his plans. He took it to the media every time they tried to hit him with dirt and they wound up with egg on their faces. He wasn't afraid of them and he beat them so bad that they still can't sit down comfortably.

Tie together: Maybe it's time to stop being afraid of what will happen to us if we act conservative (not libertarian - conservative). Maybe we should stop allowing ourselves to be shouted down by morons and imbiciles who can only use volume because they don't have brains. Maybe we should simply stand up for what is right and leave the left wondering what happened.

The left has this in common with Al-Queida, they don't play by gentlemen's rules. You can either cower in fear or you can decide to play just as rough.

IMHO: the truth will win in the end. Whether over abortion or homosexual perversion (sorry for the redundancy) or raising taxes to stimulate the economy, the truth will win.

Maybe we shouldn't be so afraid of the cost of winning.

Or would that be a BRAAD idea?

Shalom.

Good points, but I still think making thinly veiled death threats against providers is going to drive away more people than it attracts, and the ones that are attracted by such tactics are not really the best spokesmen for the cause.

The Nuremburg Files part, where they list the abortion providers and have lines drwn through the ones that have been killed. It just strikes me as something the media can use to smear the entire pro-life movement with.

Maybe we should simply stand up for what is right and leave the left wondering what happened.

"We don't have to be rude or call them names. We can tell them, ever so politely, that ours is the party of Christ and theirs is the party of Anti-Christ. We create; they destroy; we remember; they forget. We speak truth; they lie -- all the time and about everything. Once you are clear in your own mind, you are free to go about your business with the same cheerful spirit as the Christians displayed in the days of Diocletian."
