What should the answer be? We may as well ask,"Should the US attack Jordon, or Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan, or Timor, or Cuba, or...."

Where do we draw the line?

And, oh by the way, when is the President going to get Congress to issue a formal declaration of war (or make them pay in November if they do not grant it)?

Or have we glibly quit worrying about the Constitution since so many of President Bush's predecessors, including those with the same last name, never worried about it?

Personally I voted no. It is not that I do not believe Sadam could be a threat I just want proof and reasons to start another war when we haven't finished in Afganistan yet. I am afraid this just seems more like a gift to daddy than a necessary venture into another country for security purposes. We had our chance and a legitimate excuse 10 years ago and let the UN talk us out of finishing the job. I would like to see some provocation on Iraq's part before we go a warring again.

Keep in mind we can all sit here and talk big, but some poor kid is going to have to go over there and actually be in harms way and maybe come home in a bag. I fought in one war that nobody could explain, I don't want to see other young men and women have to do the same. Watch "Black Hawk Down" and remember that those guys died for the glory of UN nation building under Mr. Clinton. We had know business being in Somalia, we have no business being in Bosnia, we had no business being in Serbia, and I see no business in being in Iraq at this time. If there is justifiable cause to go into Iraq then let the President come out in public, give a speech explaining those reasons, get a declaration of war from Congress and then let's roll. If he can't or won't do that then I will not blindly back more foreign incursions.

Let the flaming begin!

I guess I have to stay out of this one.
Unless I'm willing to go first, I can't expect someone to go in my place.
This isn't the time for it. We still have a mess to clean up in Afganistan.
Ask me again in another year.
