I'm hoping to meet lots of Freepers I haven't met in person yet there. Hopefully, those within a few hundred miles will make the effort to join us.

I'm coming in all the way from Boston. Hope there will be more than four of us there.

If you don't all sign up to attend the FRiva Los Vegas conference, we're going to put "that picture" of you in the banquet slide presentation and everyone will have a good laugh at your expense. :)

Sign up now and avoid the embarassment.*

* Bribes are also acceptable, but signing up for the conference is cheaper. ;)

Notes from a visit a couple of weeks ago:

Best Buffet: Rio by far. (Go at lunch $11 vs $16, same menu as far as I can tell.)

Video Poker: NY NY (or maybe Showboat) has 6-9 machines whereas Belagio, MGM, Monte Carlo, Rio, Palms, Orleans, have 5-8.

Belagio's Music & Fountain is nice (every 1/2 hour.)
Liberace Museum: worth visiting. Be sure to get one of the coupons. (Why pay $12 when you can get in for $6.)

It will be hot. It's a dry heat. So's an oven. (I was there in 1994 in 117F heat, it shouldn't be that bad.)

"All my bagggs are packed and I'm ready to goooo ..."

Well, actually my bags are not packed (except for my shaving kit but that stuff sits around a long time between trips anyway except the bar of soap which I finally took pity on and replaced with a bar you can't see through and the bottle of Ramada Inn shampoo which I used on the last trip to put conditioner in because I couldn't have found the bottle of conditioner I normally take on trips if you had held a gun to my head) because that would be silly and I'd be down to an old Megadeth concert T-shirt, battery acid-scored pair of jeans, tube socks with JB Weld stuck to the sole, and old Kamiseya Japan ball cap if I packed all my clothes now. But I have dusted my bags off, removed all the old tags the airlines put on them, and even cleaned the business cards, sample packs of some really bad venison jerky I got in Tennessee a few weeks ago, playing cards I thought I had lost, and old fuzzy half-eaten rolls of Life Savers out of the pockets. And, since my sister's insurance paid off last week from when she lost her house in the Show Low fires, I might even have a guest in Vegas that weekend! So, I'll see you there (if I can get some sleep between now and then).

The preceding rant was brought to you by the word "insomnia." Insomnia; There's Actually a Lot of Stuff on TV At 3 In The Morning!

Just another Joe,

Note to self, take embarrassing photo of "Just another Joe" out of the FRiva Las Vegas slide show. :)

Any more FReepers feeling particulary guilty, wanting to wipe out photographic evidence of their sins? Sign up now and all will be forgiven. (At least forgotten. :)

Someone is trying to keep me from getting there, at all. THEY WILL NOT SUCCEED!

I book my flight on Vanguard, they file chapter 11.
I book my car with Budget, they announce they will file chapter 11.

They will NOT succeed, I WILL be there, even if I have to ride a bicycle!
