RALEIGH, N.C. -- Gov. Mike Easley did himself no favors with legislators when he announced that he planned to move forward with his education initiatives with or without their backing.

Even lawmakers from his own Democratic party were angered by the move last week, with many questioning his constitutional authority to take the steps.

Doncha love that WEasley. He's laying off 1,300 state workers but wants to hire around 1,200 kindergarten and preschool teachers.

Are we sure that he's not on something? Where's he going to find all these teachers? Why not just ask them to teach for free? (It's for the children dontcha know!)

Impeach Easley. This jerk has claimed even a right to impose water restrictions on towns not short of water - without any claim as to what law allows that.
