Nice short speech to the rescue crews from the governor. Talked about teamwork, skill, savvy, determination.
And may I add that once again the average American workers are the heroes in this drama, just like 9/11. There is great heroism in this country, and I believe it is beginning to be seen.

Btw, I'm wondering if it isn't much better that these men were brought up during the night ..... less shock to their systems than coming up in bright sunlight after their days in darkness. Another special blessing from God? Or would that really not make any difference.

Amen. Here's a toast to all of those who still put the most competent in charge to get the task at hand done. Kudos to all who saved these men. Having lost relatives in West Virgina coal mine colapses, I felt for the families. I'm happy for all of them.
Here hoping the diversity crowd doesn't scream that they didn't get their due in this.

Can't wait for this to be made into a movie. Of course one of the miners will have to be black, and another will have to be a woman, and they'll also have to have a gay miner in the bunch, too....
