Watch and pray. The rescuers are optimistic that they will reach the cavity where the miners are located by midnight, perhaps as soon as 10pm et.

They just reported that several PA miners were caught in a similar situation thirty years ago AND WERE RESCUED ALIVE AFTER A WEEK IN THE HOLE.

I'm not a big fan of Geraldo, his liberal roots show WAY to much for my tastes, but in this case he seems to be doing a good job. I'll give him one thing, he's not afraid to show emotion and this is a time where emotions are very high.

Someone interviewed earlier, when asked what the realistic chances of this rescue occuring were, said....that they had a million to one chance of making that 6 inch hole yesterday...in JUST THE RIGHT PLACE...over almost a square mile area. And if they hadn't been able to make that hole...and hear those 9 taps, we wouldn't be seeing this today.

One miner is bigger than the rest and they do not think he will fit in the 22" diameter cage. They will rescue him by strapping a harness on him if he will not fit in the cage.

I suppose this guy will be the last one out. It might be a good idea to say an extra prayer for him.

In fact, the choppers flew right over my house, the last one about five minutes ago.

I said this earlier...like him or not, Geraldo has a Clintonesque way of having people like him...he seems to get people to say things to him they might not say to other reporters. I think I've seen him get more out of a few people tonight than I saw CNN's reporter get out of the same people.
