Yeah sure this lawsuit is ok ... just like the one where the lady sued temple university hospital because an MRI scan of her head robbed her of her psychic powers. She won of course.

A New York City lawyer has filed suit against the four big fast food corporations, saying their fatty foods are responsible for his client’s obesity and related health problems. Samuel Hirsch filed his lawsuit Wednesday at a New York state court in the Bronx, alleging that McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and KFC Corporation are irresponsible and deceptive in the posting of their nutritional information,

IMHO, these 4 companies should countersue for fraudulent abuse of the legal system and demand that Mr. Hirsch be disbarred.

Is there a way to sue this attorney for breach of the public trust? Or something else?

I'd like to see a national movement to stop trial attorneys from promulgating this nonsense.

I think anyone who has ever eaten fast food will have to recuse him/herself from this case.

Could be a problem.

I am very overweight myself, and this lawsuit infuriates me.
I get annoyed with all kinds of self-proclaimed victims, but guys like this are the worst. As irritating as NOW,GLAAD, etc. can be, at least they don't make ME look like an irresponsible crybaby.

LOL!, sorta. This kind of LawyerNazi stuff is one of the reasons that Budweiser
took out the drink sensibly ad campaign, I bet. If they get sued, that's part of
their defense, and believe me, the alcohol industry is in the Lawyers sights.

"I trace it all back to the high fat, grease and salt, all back to McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King – there was no fast food I didn't eat, and I ate it more often than not because I was single, it was quick and I’m not a very good cook," Barber said in an interview with Foxnews.com. "It was a necessity, and I think it was killing me, my doctor said it was killing me, and I don't want to die."

Learn to cook, you lazy b@$t@rd! You couldn't bring your lunch with you to work? You chose to eat that food, so shut the hell up!

Frances Winn, a 57-year-old retired nurse, said her habit of eating at fast-food restaurants at least twice a week since 1975, caused her to go from a size 6 to a size 18, and inflicted her with hypertension, high cholesterol and a hyperthyroid problem.

Break the habbit! Too damn bad. Did someone hold a gun to your head and force you to go to fast food restaurants? Why didn't you bring your lunch with you to work? I don't think that I've ever seen a hospital without a refrigerator...

Israel Bradley, 59, said his ritual of eating a pound of french fries a week gave him high blood pressure, diabetes, made him obese and forces him to walk with a cane. In 1993, he passed out and had to be rushed to the emergency room because of the medical problems caused by his diet. "I got addicted to it," he said.

Yeah, right! Should anyone be suprised that someone who eats like that nearly died? It was his choice! Damn, this gets my blood boiling!

Winn and Bradley will both file New York state suits soon, Hirsch said.

Of course... I say that any lawyer that files something like this deserves to be hunted down and .... Or at least, I hope that the judge will begin an investigation against the lawyer and saction the hell out of him!

Mark

Lord Almighty!

What made this piece of sheeple order the super-sized french fries instead of the salad?
Did someone put a gun to his head and make him eat that much non-healthy "food"?
(Can you call anything McDonald's serves food?)
The judge should throw out this case, but I know that this will make it to a verdict.

Why am I seeing a version of Demolition Man (Stallone movie) beginning to manifest?
(/sarcasm)

Next will be hugh taxes on fast foods. After all the Gov't got by O'K with cigarettes. I thought they'd go after Liquor next , I was wrong.

A few years ago a man climbed onto a school roof to steal computers; he fell through the skylight and became a parapeligic. He won several million as the school hacn't posted a sign on the roof stating that the skylight was unsafe. Our justice system at work.

"Honest your honor, Ronald McDonald forced me to eat 5 Big Macs a week at gun point. Hey, I should sue the gun makers too! And the automobile manufacturers as well! The car I drove forced me to drive by the restaurant everyday....”
