For six years I had the pleasure of serving with Scott Bundgaard in the Legislature and I have watched him closely in the Senate. He has truly distinguished himself by his solid record on behalf of his constituents.
His policy initiatives kept the taxpayer in mind, including efforts to freeze property tax rates for seniors and a successful campaign to lower state income taxes. He sponsored bills to cut government spending and make sure tax rates remain low. Scott represents a new future of leadership for our state; one which will ensure that government operates efficiently and does not waste our tax dollars. Now, he wants to take these leadership qualities to Congress, where he is already outlining ways to help seniors, cut taxes and improve education. His plans to expedite drug research, eliminate the death tax and provide school choice will benefit us all.
The residents of Congressional District 2 have a tremendous opportunity to elect someone who will be a champion of their causes and needs. Scott Bundgaard has proven to be a tireless worker during his time in the Legislature. We should expect nothing less from him in Congress. Senator Bundgaard will go to Washington to fight for issues that are important to families in this great state.

Copying a disgrace
July 24, 2002
Thank you, Chip Scutari, for informing the voters of the latest shenanigans displayed by John Keegan. ("Keegan copies article's words, uses as his own," July 17.) Has Mr. Keegan no morals? Can he not think for himself? To copy word for word from sources not written by him is a disgrace. What a fine example he has also set for Arizona's schoolchildren! I hope the voters take notice of this. Mr. Keegan will never get my vote.

Backs Bundgaard
July 24, 2002
This is to express and encourage support of others to elect Scott Bundgaard as our representative for Congressional District 2. As a resident of Arizona District 19 (now 4) I have followed Scott's performance as an elected state legislator. He has consistently stuck to the legislative issues of his agenda and has been open to hear and address concerns of his constituents.
Some of the causes that Scott has supported are an affordable prescription drug plan for seniors, cutting the state's income tax rate, and freezing property taxes for seniors.
Scott has been a responsive representative of the people at the state level and his experience along with his energy and ideas for improvement make him very qualified to represent Arizona and w ork for legislation that is good for all people at the federal level.

Bundgaard has many supporters and I doubt Keegan will survive past the primary election.
