Whoa! They are in big trouble.
I dare say that this could even bring a strongly worded memo down on them. Perhaps even a mild rebuke.....
At which time the media will totally trash the Bush administration for viciously targeting a motherly public interest group.

"Cooling off periods" That one rates right up there with "assault rifles" and "cop-killer bullets."

This stuff is from about 2 years ago around the time of their first march, as indicated on
this page. The fruits of these efforts can be noted in the victory of Bush in November of 2000, their ejection from SF General, their layoffs of most of their staff, their merger with Handgun Control Inc. to form the Brady Campaign, and in the size (about 300) of the second MMM march on Washington.

fix the HTML in this post so that the images work... so we can archive it.
either that or freeze this post, and repost it with the correct image tags and link from this to the new post.

Bill, great work. I'll send the Levin part to Rocky's campaign.

MMM didn't just lie to the IRS; it also lied to the "mainstream" media!
MMM's claims to the "mainstream" media that it got 750,000 contradicted other claims it made in its press kit handed out at the event.
MMM, though, has about disappeared. Two years later, its followup events - in Washington and elsewhere - have been miserable flops. Soros is no longer funding MMM, either - evidently due to its failure to attract a grassroots.
Scandals of antigun activists - including true facts about "Million" Mom March!

The Million Moms are hopefully in big trouble! Not surprising!

Yeah even if someone *did* take advantage of a cooling off period, who says they (if they were buying a gun to kill someone) wouldn't still buy and wait until the next time they got mad at the person?
May as well just ban all guns. Of course that is what they are trying to do.

Heh - they lied and claimed they had a million members who were moms. Turns out they have eleven members, none of them mothers ;)

If a church did this they would lose their tax exemption in a heartbeat.
