The only difference is that when Klayman was attacking Clinton, he was either ignored by the press or depicted as a right-wing nut. Now, Judicial is a respected, non-partisan "Watchdog" group according to current press reports.
The Clinton years were very good for Larry Klayman. And lest we forget, he filed suit during Recount Hell on behalf of Republican voters, iirc. At any rate, this is about getting one's hands on mailing lists.
As you pointed out, when Larry came to town, he bought the Republican lists, probably from the RNC, or conservative issue and publication outfits. Now that he's going after Cheney, he'll be able to get Dem lists and Dem donors from people like Sierra Club and NOW.
He works both sides of the street, and rakes in the dough big time! It's actually a stroke of financial genius that took some planning.
Of course, I never gave him a dime because I knew that when he was sending out funding requests in 1998, he wasn't doing it for us. Nope, the guys doing it for us, for the Constitution, worked somewhere else. The guys doing the heavy lifting against the Clintons were working for Ken Starr, and were being vilified by the nation for so doing.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Why are these ones so low?
Does he want people kneeling at his feet? I just think it is quite odd, don't you?

You know, I noticed that too. Actually, it's kind of creepy.
Remember how that guy last night posted his opinion that Ron Brown would still be alive were it not for Judicial Watch? Maybe Judicial Watch did have something to do with his death.
What do you all make of this post:

I just read the 40+ page complaint which is on JW's website. There are two sets of Plaintiffs -- Stephen F. Stephens from Indiana and Lyle and Deanna Lionbarger from New Mexico. You have to get to paragraphs 102, 105 before they even mention what the Plaintiffs' claims are.
Stephens bought 500 shares of Halliburton stock on November 15, 2002 [??? is Miss Cleo his broker?] for $21.11 a share for a total cost of $10,685. The Lionbargers bought 100 shares for $12.22 on January 24, 2002 for a total costs of $1,222. [Halliburton stock is currently trading for about $14.00 a share.] They are each seeking $200,000 in puniive damages. They claim that Texas law applies.
They don't claim that they sold the stock for a lose, and of course the Lionbargers have a gain. I don't know how you can sue for your loses when you have a gain. Be interesting to see if they bought through a broker and if so what he has to say about this "fraud."

I am going to have to go to bed soon. I took sinus medicine an am getting drowsy.
Now here's a FReeper that can get right to the heart of the facts.
Iwo, any thoughts?
They had to sue him to get the money.
My understanding is that the lawsuit is against the entire Halliburton board of directors at that time. Naturally, the Dick Cheney membership makes good press.
Last night, FIJC said, "If the judge doesn't throw it out, I believe Larry has a good case," or something close to that.
I was really confused by that remark, like, why would you file a case if you thought it would get thrown out....but now I get it!
And what's got me wondering about the impact of JW's weight is, if you'll recall, Jenn Bush hiding behind a garment bag. Was she avoiding JW questions?
And what about Daniel Pearl? Was he being investigated by them as well (recall his hand position in the photo his captors took).
Very good, Ned.
Fred?
This whole thing was initially announced by the media that Klayman was suing not only Halliburton, but VP Cheney "personally".
How does that jive with your last post and understanding?
