12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

I pray that Halliburton will SUE Larry for this malicious and frivolous action. THEN they can have discovery on HIM.

You are the second person on this site to say "DU" whatever that is!?DemocraticUnderground.com, the internet watering hole for Demoncrats and various other liberal animals.
There's a past history of liberal disruptors showing up here and causing whatever problems they can.
Consequently, if you're new around here, and someone disagrees with something you post, you're likely to be branded a troll for a while. No big deal. Hang around for a while and it goes away as people get to know you.

I'd like to know what is really behind Klayman's latest blunder. All the targets he has to chose from (Jeehehsee Jaaahaaakson, Sharpton, Socialists in Congress) , but who does he pick? Why our Vice-President of course. This man needs to get a life or take a vacation

Saw it, read it. Larry must be running from someone, or trying to get up some $$$ for a suit about to be filed against him.
LARRY IS A FRIEND OF THE CLINTONS.

Are you still breathing, or are you guffawing too hard?I'm basically in shock. I thought the green and gold Green Bay Packer fan casket I saw here yesterday could not be topped.
To: Madame Dufarge
Yes, I remember that quite well. Remember how everybody in the courtroom laughed when he said, "Larry Klayman, from the non-partisan firm of Judicial Watch?"

Thanks to you in MO.

We were all rooting for counter-suits on the thread last night (except for the usual group of Klayman supporters).
In a civil suit, the attorneys can hire investigators to go into every nook and cranny of a plaintiff's life. In most lawsuits, due to lack of money, people don't do this.
But I am certain, as God is my witness, that every resource of the oil industry is being called down on Larry Klayman. And I am glad, glad, glad!!

Klayman isn't ever going to "get" anybody. Never has. Never will.

Well, are we going to let them?

While Clinton was in office, Mr. Klayman billed himself as the CONSERVATIVE watch dog group, not the BIPARTISAN watch dog group.
He's dropped that now. I suspect he'll try to reinstate it after this year's fund raising is less than the 15 million he got in 2001.

This could very well be Larry's Waterloo! And about time. I'm so sick of his postering. Dick Cheney and Halliburton will wipe the floor with him.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Nice to know I have a Freeper partner when we both get sued by Klayman tying him to the clintons!!!!

Remember how everybody in the courtroom laughed when he said, "Larry Klayman, from the non-partisan firm of Judicial Watch?"Yes! It was one of the great comic relief moments of the whole ordeal.
To: PhiKapMom
Wonder if Klayman will just do a class action suit against those who know the truth.
To: Howlin
I did see references to Halliburton press releases. This--despite its publicity, IMHO, is wafer thin. But I expected no less from JW.
But no, no independent investigation by JW, unless you count collection of Halliburton press releases, their annual reports and a New York Times article as "investigation." JW will try to fill in the gping holes through discovery, you betcha.
