A generation of potential suicide bombers is not created in a vacuum and brainwashing individuals to the point where they become willing to commit murder/suicide for any reason is no small feat.
Any cult leader worth his salt knows the value of isolating recruits from their previous lives and support systems. The point of cult communal living is removing new recruits from external reality so the singular reality of the cult can be imposed without competition.
Our western world leaders cant seem to tell us often enough that we are not at war with Islam. Islam says otherwise. A recent poll of Palestinians showed two-thirds of respondents believed Israel must be destroyed. The identical position taken by so-called Islamic radicals. The notion that the creation of a Palestinian State would in any way change the fundamental belief among Palestinians that Israel must be destroyed and Islam spread is absurd. Its as absurd as trying to deny the size and strength of our enemies by declaring we are not at war with Islam.
Islam is classed as a world religion, but the behaviour and belief systems of radical Muslims appear to be those of cultists. The generation of potential suicide bombers Islam has raised did not have to be isolated in communes or jungle retreats because the greater society in which they are raised is dominated by the cult.
Suicide bombers are exalted and told they are in for a good time the moment they blow themselves up. The families of the bombers receive money from a variety of sources and enhanced social standing within the cult. Islamic society has become the cult.
But the generation of potential suicide bombers is not a generation captured by a cult and brainwashed to the point where a new reality has been superimposed over an old reality. The new wave of bombers are brainwashed from birth and they are brainwashed right to the bone. There is no negotiating with people that badly damaged, they must be destroyed.
Indeed, it took a village to raise a generation of suicide bombers. It took the crowds of non-radical Muslims cheering in the streets with each new massacre of women and children. It took the elevated status of radical Muslims in Islamic society. But most of all, it took a hatred which transcends death itself.
Recent television footage has shown a Muslim woman sending her son off to blow up himself and other children. She was celebrating the mass murder her son was about to commit. Perhaps a parallel can be drawn between any mother sending her son off to battle, but a large part of her joy was generated by her belief that the souls of the innocent people her son was about to murder were destined for Hell. This is a hatred that transcends the normal hatred people have for their wartime enemies. This is a hatred beyond wanting to see your enemies dead, this is a desire for their eternal torment.
Its a hatred which can only be described as evil.
Yeah...it takes a village.
This is a very serious problem. We are not just fighting the suicide bombers, but the very society that produces them.
Hillary and Entropy are right...it does take a village.
Attention media types......this is worthy of note! Hope a head's up is sent to Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, etc. This is a marvelous take on Hitlery's vileness and a terrific look at evil that transcends the grave.
Witness Stalin's USSR, Mao's "china" -- and Harry Lee's modern Singapore.
Chillingly accurate, as far as it sees, however, your picture of the little Evil, misses the bigger picture in which radical islam and its Arab slaves created from themselves -- from "Jordanians," Lebanese, Syrians and Egyptians -- an imaginary people at first called "refugees" and, much later, called "palestinians;" kept them isolated and incited in them such morbidity and psychopathologically-hesporophobic delusion, hatred and rage that they became the weapon of which the homicidal bomber is but the inevitable -- but [Except for his "red-herring" value] almost insignificant -- byproduct.
