SHANGHAI, July 6 (Xinhuanet) -- PC giant Dell said Friday its first research and development center outside the Untied States has been set up in Shanghai, the biggest industrial and business center in China.

Ken Lanshe, general manager of the Dell (China) Product Research & Development Center, said Dell made the decision to open the center because it is confident in the Chinese economy and in the other parts of the Asian and Pacific region.

He also cited abundant human resources, convenient transportation and logistic support systems as other major reasons Dell has selected Shanghai as the location for its first R&D center outside the United States.

The research and development center, which is located in the Multimedia Industrial Park in Changning District, will be home to around 270 researchers, and to 1,000 in the next few years.

"He also cited abundant human resources (slave labor), convenient transportation (trains with a hole in the floor for a toilet) and logistic support systems (stolen U.S. technology) as other major reasons Dell has selected Shanghai as the location for its first R&D center outside the United States. "

By the way, Xinhua - it's the "United States", not the "Untied States".

Personally, I haven't had much trouble brewing as long as the temp is kept consistent for the yeast to eat that sugar!

About the other, U.S./Texas were fairly easy for him (Mike Dell), since he had the bucks and the bubble behind him.

The Chinese will spend all of DELL's R&R bucks, not for the sake (nor sake') of DELL, but for their own product, THEN DELL will receive only, if that, what it contracted for.

DELL may receive a positive cost/benefit result, but at what cost to the American Market for the long run?

Greedy unions and idiot graduates from the American Socialist Union School system are driving these companies out of the U.S.

Again, the arc of the circle is becoming defined, and it most assuredly is not in the favor of the American public regardless of political affiliation.

The same China that high jacks our planes?

The same China that we complain about their human rights?

The same China that is building up their Military?

The same China that is sending missles to our Arab friends.

The same China who supports the same child labor we are fighting against?

OOPs! I forgot cheap labor is the name of the game for our patriotic American corps.

Only an American who is sleeing around the clock would reason with this!

Microsoft last week Dell This week.

Looks like I will rethink my new system. Currently using DELL. I will now be looking at other alternatives, if there are any left that value hiring American's.

Actually I think "untied" is more correct with this subject. What Dell and other big boys are doing is voting with their feet. How long can they be expected to pay out the nose for the "UNTIED" purse strings of American socialism? How long can the high tech industry survive being taxed to death? And how much do the big companies pay in "Unofficial Tax"? There are no more "Muck Rakers" to investigate official corruption.

"Looks like I will rethink my new system."

I decided no more Dell after the infamous way they treated a gun-shop owner, cancelling his order because the word "Combat" appeared in his company name.

I recommend:

Alienware
Falcon Northwest
Vicious

Fast systems for gaming, I bet they rock. I don't play games but when I finally retire my PIII (Micron) it'll be one of those.

Yeah, I read about that. Hell, that in itself is good enough reason. Thanks for reminding me....
