I'm not blaming Ashcroft, and I'm beyond tired of the "win back the Senate" alibi for every failing of this Administration. Careful, now. You don't want a "Axis of Whining Weasels" Alert done on you.

What other time bombs are still in the country, for fear of a smudge on our compassion? Quote of the Day ?

It just occurred to me that maybe the reason the authorities didn't disclose the perp was Arab until after the celebrations is because they were afraid of retribution among the Fourth of July crowds…looking around for Arab-looking people to beat up on. They're trying to forestall the inevitable backlash that will happen because our gooberment will not take the steps necessary to protect us.

My Parents live in Irvine, It's Full Of Arabs When I lived in Costa Mesa for a year in 1978, Irvine was very expensive - it was inevitable that it would fill with Arabs.

This is real good. Let me see if I can figure this out. The FBI held this information back until this morning, why? Not to panic us on the 4th? This is an isolated incident? When are we going to wake up and really start fighting this war. Bravo El AL, at least this airline takes security seriously. Well Done.

I'll say this though: the authorities will definitely want to find out if perp had contacts with any organization that is sympathetic to Hamas or al-Qaeda. If not, the perp probably did it on his own time in personal sympathy to Hamas.

I thought I heard a report this morning that a grandaughter of Shimon Peres was at LAX yesterday for a flight. Anyone else hear this?

That's an absurd analogy. This guy was in a huge, international airport at the Israeli airline ticket counter, whose security personnel were probably on the highest level of alert of any other security personnel in the airport.
Klebold and Harris unloaded on a school full of unarmed, defenseless school children, with no armed security in sight.
They wouldn't have been any more successful in that terminal than this terrorist. If confronted by armed security professionals, maybe alot less.

My thoughts excatly. I want to know WHAT DID THEY KNOW AND WHEN DID THEY KNOW IT. ( ha ha ) I heard this morning on FNC that the gun man was carrying a .45cal Glock + a 9mm Glock and a 6" hunting knife and extra magazines full of ammo. If it had not been for the El Al security guard I wonder how differently this would have played out. WE NEED MORE ARMED CITIZENS. An armed society is a polite society.

Put up or shut up, you race baiting punk... ping!
You're sounding a little defensive Saberkitten. I think you need a new cartoon to include with your comic like posts. :)

Believe it or not, when I lived in Orange County (1960's) Irvine was a ranch And John Wayne Airport was just a windsock and a runway. Yep, and when driving along the Anaheim freeway there were orange groves and eucalyptus trees growing right up to the foothills. Back then, it was a great place to be.

I would tend to agree with you .. but then I have to ask .. how the heck did he know
The Israelis know everything. Unlike us, their country realizes that this is a fight for the survival of their state.

You dont have to be a card carrying terrorist to be part of the movement. I said this the other day. We have let thousands of nice quiet guys named mohammed into this country over the last 10 years. Nice and quiet but burning inside with the disgrace and humiliation of being crushed in two wars, 67 and 72. Ticking time bombs. Our govt is paddling upstream with toothpicks trying to keep this from becoming racial/civilization base/whatever. I have one of these guys living next door. Quiet, sent the wife and two kids to Egypt for the summer. I hang an American flag. Should I be concerned I am putting it in his face. See that statement right there tells it. These people could be living here for 15 years and it would still be a foreign assignment to them. First and foremost they are muslims, second arabs and a distant last Amercicans. I shudder.

My Parents live in Irvine, It's Full Of ArabsUmmmmm.....I believe that Egypt is in Africa. That would make this man an African, not an Arab, wouldn't it? :o)
To: Sabertooth
good thing we let him stay here, rather than deal with him appropriately. You are so sarcastic, Sabertooth. .........right, but sarcastic. :o)

However, folks, this guy was probably on the Israeli watch list. Before his body stopped twitching on the floor, they were calling it an terrorist act. The Israelis call it a terrorist act but our own authorities tell us it was a random criminal act? I think I'll trust Israeli intelligence.

Guess what, there are a million more of "hims" here in the USA. You exaggerate. Only about 5-10% of muslims are actively involved in Jihad organizations. There are no more than 50-100,000 of these fellows running around -- 200,000, tops.
Gee, now I feel a whole lot better...
