Where are you moving? I was ill with post op infections the first five months of this year which is why I haven't been in touch.

Here's where he lived....

That location is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER from my mother-in-law's home, in the Woodbridge section of Irvine.

I'll hazard a guess that he may have "self identified" as a so called "Palestinian" like the other Egyptian born Arafat guy.

There are several business owners in downtown Huntington Beach (near Irvine), who are Palestinian. I wonder to what extent folks like that, might provide financial support, for Jihadi cells?

I raised the issue with Congressman Rohrabacher's office, but they ASSURED me they weren't a problem. (Rohrabacher rents office space from one of them, or is provided it gratis?). Maybe they should take a fresh look, now that Jihad has come to the county, so to speak.

However I don't think bringing Jihad to Orange County will be a good thing, for advancing their cause.

Lone Fanatic.

I was thinking he had a personal grudge against Israel.
Maybe lost a close family member is some Israeli actions or something along those lines.

Yep, KABC 7 said the guy was on FBI watch list.

Either way, it's a big story. Think about it...

Yep it would be a big story if as reported. A big story for ACLU/Libertarians who would be having a fit if this guy had been picked up and held.

Jihad Padilla redux.

Haven't heard much about other notes, detailing more attacks or something. Read a reference to that here somewhere.

I hope he wasn't on the FBI watch list, The FBI has been beaten up a lot since Daschle and Gephardt started pointing fingers.

It's worse if the perp wasn't on the FBI lists.

It points up the foolishness of the "Islam is peace" gambit.

Moslem non-citizens should have been expelled last Fall.

I was involved in one of scenarios about two years ago at LAX.

I flew from SFO on a UA shuttle. After we were landed and on the way to pick up our luggage, we were herded out the doors onto the sidewalk. There was a bomb threat.

It was about 2 pm and a lot of flights were affected. There was a ton of us on the sidewalks. The roads were not closed.

That was the final straw on me saying that I didn't need that part time consulting job that had me going in and out of terminals like LAX. However,, we don't need to go into all this on an open web site.

This clymer probably hated Jews from the moment he was born, and he intended to do a Hate Crime. (all terrorist acts are hate crimes!) He probably acted alone and may have booby trapped his car (we don't know this for sure!)

Since he had a green card, he may not have been on our watch list. However, I think the Israeli Intel knew who he was. That was they called it an act of terrorism before he stopped twitching on the floor of the airport. Saber, spend a minute and go to this link and read what Israeli Intel, Shin Bet was saying about this act very quickly: (Israeli Shin Bet believes shooting is terrorist)

PROFILING OR NOT

To ensure that we Americans never offend anyone, airport screeners will not be allowed to profile people. They will continue random searches of everyone: 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old congressmen with metal hips and Medal of Honor winning former Governors. But they will not single out any one group of individuals for searches.

Let's pause a moment and take the following test.

In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by:
a. Olga Corbett
b. Sitting Bull
c. Arnold Schwarzenegger
d. Muslim males mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1979, the U.S. embassy in Iran was taken over by:
a. Lost Norwegians
b. Elvis
c. A tour bus full of 80-year-old women
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

During the 1980's a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by:
a. John Dillinger
b. The King of Sweden
c. The Boy Scouts
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1983, the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by:
a. A pizza delivery boy
b. Pee Wee Herman
c. Geraldo Rivera making up for a slow news day
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1985 the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70 year old American passenger was murdered in his wheelchair and thrown overboard by:
a. The Smurfs
b. Davy Jones
c. The Little Mermaid
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a U.S. Navy diver was murdered (and his body tossed to the tarmac) by:
a. Captain Kid
b. Charles Lindberg
c. Mother Teresa
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was blown up in flight via a bomb planted by:
a. Scooby Doo
b. The Tooth Fairy
c. Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid who had a few sticks of dynamite left over from the train job
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed by:
a. Richard Simmons
b. Grandma Moses
c. Michael Jordan
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1996, nineteen American servicemen died when Khobar Towers was bombed by:
a. Secret Service agents
b. American kids
c. American grandmothers
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1998, the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by:
a. Mr. Rogers
b. Hillary, to distract attention from Wild Bill's women problems
c. The World Wrestling Federation to promote its next villain:
"Mustapha the Merciless"
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

On Oct 12, 2000, seventeen sailors died when the USS Cole was bombed by:
a. NASCAR officials
b. Barbie doll impersonators
c. Alf
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

On 9/11/01, four U.S. airliners were hijacked and thousands of people were murdered by:
a. Bugs Bunny, Wiley E. Coyote, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd
b. The Supreme Court of Florida
c. Mr. Bean
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 2002 the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against:
a. Enron
b. The NFL
c. The Catholic Church
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by:
a. Bonny and Clyde
b. Captain Kangaroo
c. Billy Graham
d. Muslim males (mostly) between the ages of 17 and 40

As this test has shown, there are absolutely no patterns anywhere to justify racial profiling. My confidence in our system is now totally restored and I shall endure the persecutions (oops, I mean "random searches") gladly. After all, I must be safer now: the Feds say so!

Yep, either he was marking things for his follow-on brothers, or he was doing his own Jihad. If you extrapolate, either way, we're apt to see a lot more before its over and we hit on the right formula for detering and ending them.

My vote is to arm as many citizens as possible, removing barriers for them to exercise their 2nd amendment rights ... and let the citizens stop these things whenever and whereever they occur. Have that be the backup to the investigative activities of Federal and local agencies.

Just my opinion ... but without something like that ... we'll see more and more Islamic Columbines where these guys figure out where the gun free killing zones are and migrate in that direction.

I'll bet we could identify which of your two options is valid with one look at this guy's passport. If he's traveled to all the familiar crapholes ... you better call those folks at LAX Jeff! They need a reality check. If he's a lust filled lonesome lecher for Heavenly Virgins, there will be evidence of his isolated existence. I hope it is the latter.

Not wringing my hands, just pointing out the facts and that in the US the FBI is damned if they do and dmaned if they don't.

Just look at the ACLU Libertarians on FR who had a cow over Jihad Padilla being held.

Either way, what do you wanna bet, a lot of Orange County Egyptians will be taking leaves-of-absence next week?

At the time of the Iran hostage incident, we had an employee, who was an Iranian national on a green card. Been here since undergrad days, then grad school for MBA, with which I assisted.

For years we discussed the post Shah prospects for Iran, of which he stated he favored a democratically elected, western style government.

That was UTTER BS, for he was using "Al Taqiyah." In fact he supported the Islamist revolution. Needless to say, his co-workers were inflamed, and he resigned within a few days.

From that day to now, I hold every single muslim as first a suspect, for they simply cannot be trusted.

I wonder what the co-workers of the LAX terrorist murderer will have to say, in the coming weeks?

In my opinion, it is past time for Americans to get VERY UPSET with the so called peaceful muslims in our midst, lest they eventually wind up trying to kill us. For our own good, we should NOT trust them.

That sounds like the title of the worst country music song ever.
