ORIGINALLY POSTED 2/17/2000 Your prayers are needed for a 30 year old breast cancer victim

I believe in the power of prayer and that Freepers are the best when it comes to helping. My friend's 30 year old daughter, a wife and mother, has breast cancer. She just finished her chemo (with Taxol) and when they gave her a mammogram to determine how to start her Radiation, they found an additional "spot." It could be a calcification or a new cancer in a gland, or some of the old cancer. She will find out tomorrow what she is now facing. She and her husband and three year old daugther live in Corpus Christi, TX and her parents and sister, brother-in-law and 7 month old twin nieces live here in New Jersey. Please send your prayers to her and her family now, tonight, and as long as you can to help her beat this cancer. Thank you so much.

To all of you who prayed for Rachel, thank you. She survived two years past the time I posted that request.
On Saturday, Rachel passed away at the age of 33.She leaves her daughter, Kendall, 6 years old, her husband, her parents, sister and brother-in-law and twin nieces, who just turned 3.
She was a beautiful young woman to the end. The plans are being made for a funeral in Texas and, some time later, for a memorial service here in New Jersey.

Prayers for strength for her family...
My brother's wife now faces the same fight. They have decided to live each day to its fullest, not knowing how many days she has left.
I hope the family can treasure the extra memories Rachel gave them...

Prayers for all!

My sister-in-law had great success with thalidimide. It was not breast cancer but I think that it works with almost all cancers. It's worth a try if nothing else is working.

Thank you for your prayers. It's been a long haul for everyone. Her mom was down there for the last 5 months and her dad has been back and forth...trying to run a business and be with his daughter.

Was just getting ready to say a prayer for Rachel. I am so sorry. How terrible for her little girl to lose her mother. How very, very sad. Prayers for all of the family. May Rachel rest in peace.

Prayers for your brother's wife as well.
