We don't know if Terry is going to see any jail time, but at least the Forest Service fired her, which is more than I can say for the morons that tried to burn down Los Alamos. They got promoted into new jobs. Talk about rewarding incompetence!

No sympathy here for the witch. She's lucky they don't make her go out and fight the fire with only a wet gunny sack.

No joke. I'm hearing all kinds of boo-hooing for this moron that intentionally started the fire. I don't see any sympathy for the people who lost their houses or the firefighters that were killed in the line of duty.

It's interesting that the media is still floating the "burning letter" story while conveniently blowing off the fact that arson investigators have discounted that very story. They are now saying that she intentionally staged the scene to look like a campfire that got away.

Now we know what it takes to get a person fired from the Forestry Service. Lying, spreading lynx hairs, making our forests tinderboxes and working to push enviral agends will not get you fired. It takes:

Were there any firefighters who were killed in this fire? If so, I think she can be charged with murder. Is this correct?

Were there any firefighters who were killed in this fire?

Five firefighters died as a result of a traffic accident enroute to the fire. Cause of the accident was driver error. The driver, Megan Helm has been charged with careless driving. One woman with asthma died as a result of the smoke from the fire.

Thanks Smed. I had heard of the vehicle accident, but I was referring to anyone who was killed while actively fighting the fire. I also think the idiot that almost burned down New Mexico a year or two ago should have done time. If a private citizen had done what that idiot did, he would be just starting his prison term.

I think the reason she was fired, is she is an employee who is still on a one year probation period. If they waited until she had her year in, it would be much more difficult to fire her.

I suggest that we strap a parachute on his tiny Tim body, give him a hoe dag, put him on a smoke jumper plane. Then, allow me to use a cattle prod to get him to jump out of the plane to go down to the fire area.
