Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right (Freeper help needed!)

Ann's book is being ripped by libs at Amazon. I wrote a review last night explaining that some reviewers were making Ann's point by attacking rather than arguing. Maybe it wasn't mean-spirited enough for Amazon. If you have read the book, please write a review, and let's see if we can balance this out.

Don't worry about it - the liberal idiots don't realize that there is a direct correlation between the number of hysterical reviews they post on Amazon & the number of books Ann sells.

Reviews take some time to clear before posting. No reason why your review shouldn't appear. I do hope you mentioned that the preceding reviews were clearly bogus "seminar callers"? After all, these people didn't have the book to review any more than we did. But what would you expect from liberals except a fraudulent review?

It will be a perfect weekend here for reading Ann Coulter's book and putting together a review. Thanks for the heads up.

She appeared on Hardball with Mike Barnicle and Katrina Van Den Heuval and made a fool of herself. Churlish, put upon, she refused to respond to some of Mike's valid questions.
He asked if Bob Kerry is an America hater. She fumbled, groused and eventually oozed that he is. Sorry--Kerry is not of the hard left America loathing crowd. Bad call....
This was disappointing, since I like Ann--her articles are interesting; but if the tone of her book is anything like the tone of that appearance, it probably does stink, unfortunately. Sorry Ann.

" but if the tone of her book is anything like the tone of that appearance, it probably does stink, unfortunately. Sorry Ann. "
It has nothing to do with the "tone" and everything to do with content. I've read a rather long excerpt from the book and it was riveting FWIW.

This comment is a bit silly. Would you expect someone's TV appearance to reflect the quality of their book? How long do you suppose someone preps for a TV appearance? How long do you suppose writing a book takes? To compare the two and then suggest that the tone of one is like the tone of the other is much like comparing apples and oranges.

I saw part of that ridiculous interview. Ann was miffed. She came on to do a publicity tour, which is typically softball.
Barnicle brings in Katrina Vanden Heuval to debate the merits of her book. As she asked, was it normal to bring a conservative to debate someone like Michael Moore when he was promoting a book. She was sandbagged and was deservedly upset.
The interview did indeed prove the contention in the book.

Ultra right wing extremist Ann Coulter has written a fast paced, superficial book attacking mainstream America. Her book
Slander regurgitates events of the 90's that only the mean spirited remember, and that the well intentioned have done their best to get beyond.
On page 29, the overly blonde and angular Coulter writes liberals exasperatedly asked how a tax cut was supposed to improve people's lives. To state the manifestly obvious: Peple would have more money.....Isn't that the goal? What am I missing?"
Oh Annie, we thought you might have been the lone intelligent neanderthal. If people have their own money to spend, then we do not have control of it. We thought you were intelligent enough to realize that the Americans cannot be trusted with too much control over their own money. Look what they do. They buy gas guzzling SUV's. They buy red meat from oppressed species. They destroy rain forests with ever larger houses surrounded by ever larger chemically treated lawns maintained by the tentacles of that company from the capital of evangelical fundamentalism.
We who have superior intelligence have a moral duty to help those people make the right informed choices in their lives. To do that, we need control of their money
Technochick, Don't let Laz spend more time with that other woman, than with you.

I just couldn't put it down. A Must Read for all of you.

I got my book today from Amazon. In the process of reading it - only through the first couple of pages and love it - will post a review on Amazon when I'm finished.
Honey, the fact that the libs are reading it and then posting on Amazon just cracks me up. I'm glad Ann's readership is expanding! We'll get 'em. Don't despair.

Sorry Buckwheat, but I saw that Barnacle interview as well, and couldn't disagree with you more.
Ann was rightfully frustrated that her "appearance" was used by Barnacle and the Left to personally attack her. She could have leveled both Barnacle and Katrina in a heartbeat but chose the better part of valor for the evening and remained quiet.
I don't blame her ONE BIT for her response to such rudeness. Let me tell ya, Ann was poised and controlled during that "experience" and I was very proud of her. They totally sand-bagged her with the Pledge issue - she said she'd been a bit busy that day and hadn't even heard about the ruling much less read it; therefore didn't feel comfortable commenting on it.
Get real. Ann could whip those two fumblers with half her brain tied behind her back. She chose not to. They proved, through their blatant attack on her, personally, her own point in "Slander..."
The kid's a class act.

I just wish Coulter were more accurate in what she writes; every error she makes gives them ammunition and obscures her messages. The American Prospect web site is trying to track the errors in Slander and her columns. Of course, everyone makes mistakes, but why not get a fact-checker first rather than give them ammunition?
