ATLANTA -- The American Civil Liberties Union is fighting for fornicators.

The ACLU is challenging a Georgia law that makes sex outside marriage illegal. ACLU attorney Beth Littrell said the ACLU hopes the case will get the state of Georgia outside the bedrooms of its citizens.

The ACLU said the anti-fornication law is a violation of the right to privacy. The American Family Association is arguing in favor of the sex statue.

I remember that was one of the things Ripley's did when they couldn't find any new circus freaks, tell us all about goofy laws that nobody cared about anymore that were still on the books. I remember one state had something that when crossing an intersection in a vehicle you had to stop, hit your horn get out look both way and fire two warning shot or something goofy like that.

We some odd laws in this country. Any law that has the word "fornicate" is on that list.

Me thinks maybe that The American Family Association is a front for a covert prison construction company. If the state of Georgia were to actually enforcer such nonsense they would need to incarcerate about half the population. Imagine what that would do to a state budget, but those prison-building contracts would sure be juicy.

The people should make their case by voluntarily turning themselves in. If one person does it, hell they would just lock him up, but if two people do it, they would just think their were both weird. If 50 people did it might get their attention, and if 100 people imagine 100 people walking in confessing to fornication, well my friend you got yourself a movement.
