Two Egyptian business partners who live in Brooklyn were arrested yesterday for allegedly trying to hire a hit man to whack their wives - one because she's fat and Jewish, sources told The Post.
Mohammed Khatib, 40, of 8703 Bedell Lane, and his partner, Mohammed Kadry, 45, of 494 Seventh St., also agreed to fork over thousands of dollars to have other family members wiped out - providing photos, locations and, in one case, a gun, law-enforcement sources said.

Judging from his mug shot, Mohammed hasn't missed a meal in a while, and he met the hit man in a doughnut shop. He wanted his wife killed because she's fat? A quintessential case of the pot belly calling the kettle black.
Why would anyone want to spend so much money on ex-relatives??? Phooey, I could buy some pretty neat toys with all that dough.

June 28, 2002,-- A Brooklyn woman whose Egyptian husband is accused of trying to hire a hit man to whack her because she's fat and Jewish shrugged off the chilling murder-for-hire plot yesterday, saying, "Everything is fine."
"I'm really feeling fine," Mohammed Khatib's wife, Elaine Billings, told The Post outside the couple's modest Canarsie home.
"Everything is OK. Everything is fine," the 44-year-old wife said matter-of-factly. "I just don't want to talk about it."
Billings' dismissive remarks came as a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge ordered her husband to be held without bail.
Khatib, 40, allegedly wanted his wife of about 10 years murdered because she's a Lebanese Jew who raised their two young sons Jewish, sources said.
Khatib also wanted to kill Billings' teenage son from a previous marriage because "he's just a bum," as well as a "nosy" sister and the sister's son because he's a Hebrew teacher who taught the suspect's son that language, another source said.
Khatib allegedly offered the hit man - an undercover investigator for the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office - $5,000 to kill his wife and $2,000 each for the other family members.
Meanwhile, Khatib's business partner and countryman, Mohammed Kadry, 45, has also been arrested for trying to hire the same hit man to whack his wife.
Kadry allegedly agreed to pay $10,000 to have his wife and a relative slain.
Kadry was arraigned Wednesday and also ordered held without bail.
There's no chance of that happening. Fat-hate is the officially sanctioned FR bigotry outlet. You can't say anything about any other group, but you're totally allowed to aim your hate against fat people.
