Did anyone see Ann Coulter on Hardball tonight ?
MSNBC
Posted on 06/26/2002 6:27:16 PM PDT by Zaxis
There was some guy substituting for Chris Matthews tonight and an intolerable woman from The Nation to provide "equal time". Ann was apparently upset with having her interview about the new book degenerate into a debate. She looked tired. It must have been a long day. Having to defend every page and every word must get tiresome.

If she wasn't hot, we'd be saying "Ann Who?"

No, if she wasn't hot, there'd be no demands for pictures on the thread. But Ann's got brains, heart and guts - we'd still know who she is.

Foghorn Matthews probably wimped out. Ann does a great job with liberals tired or not.

She looked great, but seemed to be off her game - tired I'll bet. Maybe she was annoyed by them ganging up on her.

I did see the program, and it was the first time I had seen Ann on TV. I hope it is the last.

Was the guest host Mike Barnicle? If so, I hope she mentioned he got canned from the Boston Globe for plagarism and is a total disgrace to journalism and the Irish.
Was the woman Katrina Vander Hoevul? If so, poor Ann. The long knives are really out.

The "guy" was Mike Barnicle. He briefly spoke to Ann about her book, but then went off into other topics.
She had a good point about the seeming need to "balance" her with that android from The Nation, Kristina vandenHouvel.
But she started pouting and whining about not being able to talk about her book, and that gave Barnicle the opening to almost mock her petulance.
I'm not a Coulter fan, but she did have a good point about MSNBC's seeming need to add a counterpoint to her. But then she got snide and prissy and almost obnoxious, and I remembered why I'm not a big Coulter fan.

That's not true.....she is a very good strong voice for conservatism and doesn't take any crap from anyone....We need tons more of her..no matter what she looks like.

You're right, Ann came off as tired and annoyed by the whole thing.
That woman they brought on to hound Ann..(can't think of her name, the one with that look on her face..that makes you just want to slap her)...was really spouting a bunch of nonsense. Saying the media was conservative biased and other BS.
I was hoping for Ann to expose her for the lying liberal phoney she was...but all Ann did was whine about not being able to talk about her book. I was disappointed.

If someone could get katrina to SHUT UP FOR ONE SECOND!!!
She was on Charlie Rose the other night, for the full hour!!! It was a beating. He let her drone on and on about the "progressive movement" and never asked her a single challenging question. Like: How come you don't call yourself a Marxist like you are?

Ann is not my favorite person but she did have a good point.
She said when they have other authors like chrissy mathews
or a liberal on they do not have a conservative to rebut
every thing they say. And she was right, when have you
ever seen another author on that has to defend everything
they wrote to a communist bit*ch.

I've seen it.
The broad is Katrina Vanden Heuvel, gestapo chief for The Nation magazine. Worse than Arianna Huffington.
Both of them make Ashleigh Banfield look sexy.
I need a drink, as you all know, it has been a bad day.

Charlie Rose is a starf**ker and he's being blowing kisses to Katrina's hubby for eons, you know, that genius Stephen Cohen, who loved Gorby and Soviet Socialism if only Bukkarhin had run things, and not Stalin. He's never been booted off a PBS programme in his life, that toady.Plus, Charlie's drooling over the thin lipped Madame DuFarge of Riverside Drive.
God, why do you watch Charlie?? LOL

It was Mike Barnicle. And it was that VandenHuevel woman vs. Coulter.
