Calling All
California Taxpayers!

Please join us on the North Steps of the State Capitol
at 11:30 am on SATURDAY June 29th
('L' St. & 11th St., Sacramento)
We must send an urgent message to Governor Davis:
California deserves a balanced State Budget with
NO NEW TAXES!
Over the past three years Californias population has grown by about 5%. Governor Davis has increased state spending by 37%! In just two years he turned over $7 BILLION in surpluses into a massive $24 BILLION deficit. To solve this problem he has proposed over $5 BILLION of new taxes, including doubling the car tax! Governor Davis needs to hear our message loud and clear, NO NEW TAXES!
There are over 1,200 well-paid lobbyists working in Sacramento to increase state spending. There are over 250,000 state employees who want state spending to go up and up. On the other side are millions of taxpaying families who are struggling to balance their own budgets and cannot afford any new taxes. Their voices are seldom heard in Sacramento because they are busy raising those families and working their jobs. This will be a Saturday, so bring the family, bring a picnic and come let your voice be heard.
June 29th is OUR opportunity to let the legislators and Governor Davis know what the taxpaying families of California want: NO NEW TAXES!
Californians already pays
the highest per capita taxes
in the Western United States!

NO NEW TAXES!
The June 29th NO NEW TAXES rally is supported by Peoples Advocate Inc., The National Tax Limitation Committee, The Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association and over 35 other organizations representing the taxpaying families of California. For further information call (916) 451-5660.

CA-WIDE PING
It's YOUR money they are planning on spending!

Don't bother our governor, he is busy thinking of new ways to support illegal aliens. He will raise our taxes, but he won't cut off services to illegals. He's going to need their votes...
To: ElkGroveDan
Out RINO governor and DemoNazi legislature has done the same thing here in Tennessee. The solution they propose to make up for their incompetence is to increase our overall tax burden by 25%. The Volunteer State is there with you in spirit, driving around the capitol honking our horns.

Why isn't this thread moving?

Too True, Janet, too true, unfortunately.

Bump to you. Yesterdays threads re the 'under God' issued, were full of invective against the State of California.
As a SoCal native, I see how quickly the state of the State has changed. CA has become liberal because not enough good people like you could make any headway against:
motor-voter, or
stop the welcoming of Illegals, or
stop the wacko Enviros, or
keep bi-lingual Ed out of schools.
California is the canary in the mineshaft. Both Left and Right must use the lessons learned in Ca, on other states.
I remain hopeful that Ca has hit bottom with Davis and the
bunkrupt state treasury - as maybe we can now elect some
conservatives. But, if the model is right, other 'sleeping states', who may be caught up in their success, will not have been watching the 'canarys'.

I am told there will be a huge flag there hanging from the capitol balcony and they will have a massive Pledge of Allegiance.
