MANILA, Philippines -- A spy who led soldiers to a Muslim rebel leader believed killed by Philippine troops has been given a $100,000 reward for his efforts.
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo presented the informant -- who goes by the pseudonym of Gardo Ibrahim and was a trusted bodyguard for the rebel chief -- a check at a ceremony at the presidential palace on Tuesday.
