Rise of the RoboMower

It seems like every time we go out, I’m pleased to see that my lawn is not the worst looking one in the neighborhood because I can always count on this one house on the corner. Yeah, my grass is kept a little high but it gets mowed whereas these guys on the corner have a front yard full of various weeds with no grass I can discern. Hey, this isn’t personal and I have nothing against them. I also view my neighbors in Texas as incredibly environmentally conscious; doing their part to aid in oxygen production now that the Brazilians have burned down 1/453,967th of our Earth’s precious rainforest to build low-cost housing for their citizens.

Yes, I was happy about the extra O2, but mostly I was glad because they mowed their yard less than I did. Last night during our walk, I was shocked to find that the neighbors’ yard looked pretty good. More shocking was that it was due to their new robot lawnmower. I’m not kidding about this – our neighbors have a “RoboMower” and it actually works. Oh wondrous technology! If you don’t think a robot lawnmower is cool, you’re just plain un-American.

I don't own one, but would love to have a Dixie Chopper! The World's fastest mower!

That Dixie Chopper looks great, but can you put a small-block V8 in it? (shades of Tool-Time!)

A Wright 3350? I dunno, one of those big radials might be just a bit large for a lawnmower. It might make a dandy engine for a big tractor pulling a twelve-gang mower at the country club, though.
