Carnival Cruise Lines said Tuesday it plans to give to charity the $1.2 million in development incentives it was offered by Florida to create a new call center in Miramar.
The money, part of a state program to spur job creation, will be passed along to charities that promote literacy, said Carnival President Robert Dickinson, who handed out the first installment of $100,000 in Tallahassee at a ceremony attended by Gov. Jeb Bush.
