Some of us also said back in August of the coming famine, and that some in the US will want to send food aid to Zim. I said that we should do no such thing. They made their bed, let them sleep in it.

Consistently I have said the only "aid" that is needed in Zimbabwe consists of arms and ammunition to the farmes, farm workers and other anti-mugabe elements. let them secure their own liberation as they will then value their liberty more highly.

I think that the only "aid" the U.S. should offer is in assisting the remaining white farmers in Zimbabwe in resettling in the United States or other nations.

In fact, I would like to propose that American farmers offer to "adopt" a farm family.

The white farmers in Zimbabwe spring from hardy pioneer stock. They are used to adversity. They are tenacious. I am sure they would make good citizens and would add greatly to the United States. Unlike the majority of the immigrants we get these days.

I would not have a problem with the US accepting as refugees those who are driven out of Zimbabwe by Mugabe and the Zanu PF criminals. The farm family adoption would be a non governmental program that would work very well. Unfortunately I doubt the government would allow it.
