Nude workers of the world unite. I think Strippy Mom (tm) should head this new union.

Notice how the "living wage" standard is being applied? Shades of the Harvard University "Student's Strike" for "living wages" for Harvard's janitors . . .

I think it would be in violation of FR terms regarding posting to put on nude pictures here. Watch it guys or Jim Rob could yank this thread if it gets out of hand.

Jennifer Baker, model coordinator at Moore College of Art, worked as a model for over five years until her body was so damaged by the work she had to quit.

"My knees started giving out," she said. . . . ."

Insert your own joke here . . . .

and firm rubber pads to stand on to support the ankles and feet.

Ankles and feet, Miss Lewinsky, ankles and feet. Now kindly get up off your knees and tuck your thong back into your hiphuggers. Thank you.

Jennifer Baker, model coordinator at Moore College of Art, worked as a model for over five years until her body was so damaged by the work she had to quit.

"My knees started giving out," she said. "It's painful, particularly some of the standing poses which are really bad on the knees."

Baker, who now works fully clothed and is not a member of the guild, said modeling is tough.

OK, she quit modeling nude, but now she models with clothes on. And she says it's because of her knees ?

I didnt read the whole article, so maybe this in in there. But I remember nude models being used in my art classes on several occasions. I have a hard time believing that these are their full time jobs. So their contention that they need a raise so they "wouldn't have to decide whether to pay rent or eat or get health insurance" seems bogus to me.

If you post pics, you might generate stiff opposition to their demands.

It's almost the exact argument used in the Harvard Student Janitor Strikes, though I guess janitorial work would be more of a full-time job. I've got a brother who's an actual working, feeding-himself artist, and he said the nude models weren't anything to write home about . . .
