Pray for Bush Day 645 and the end of abortion

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for this day and for the blessings You have given us during it. I thank You for the warm sunshine and for the fellowship of friends that You have given us along the way. I thank You for Your great salvation which is free to us but costly to You. Thank You, Father, for all You are and for all You do in our lives.

I pray for President Bush today and ask that Your guiding hand would be upon him to help him and to minister to him as he needs. Lord, give him wisdom and strength and the favor of the American people to the amazement of the pundits who would love to see him fall. Help him to stand up for what is right regardless and to have discernment regarding the various individuals around him. And, protect him, Lord, by Your might.

Finally, I pray for the unborn children of America and those who have yet to reside in their mother's womb. Lord, be with these children and change the climate in America to where they will indeed be welcomed in life. Lord, move in the Supreme Court & help justices be appointed that will preserve these innocents right to life. And be with the mothers who have committed abortion as well as those who are considering it. Lord, let them learn to rest in you and let their babies be born, I pray.

Go with us the rest of this day- for it is in the matchless name of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior that I do pray- Amen.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

How blessed we are to be children of the Living God! Thank You for drawing us to You, Father, and for calling us by name. Thank You for continuing to mold us into the people You want us to be. Most of all, we thank You for the grace You show toward us—for never giving up on us, and for Your promise to never leave us, nor forsake us.

Father, we believe in the promise that You give us that if we ask in Your name and in Your will, we shall receive. We thank You that You honor prayers spoken in agreement. Therefore, we lift up to You our President and ask that You would shower him with the blessings of Your protection, Your strength, Your wisdom, Your courage, Your power to discern, and Your faithfulness as You continue molding him as the potter molds the clay. We praise You for all the wonderful ways You have shown Your hand in his Presidency, and we ask, Lord, that You would continue to move in his life; that he would always seek to do Your will. Enable him to engage in searching, soulful prayer while this weekend.

Hear our prayer for Laura Bush, Father, and shine forth Your light of truth upon her. Where her thoughts and beliefs still lie in darkness, please shine the light of Your Word within her heart. Help her to see all life issues from Your eyes, Father, and make her a wonderful help-mate for her husband. Please give her the strength and courage she needs to endure the public eye, and help her to always offer Spirit-inspired guidance for her daughters.

Father, we pray for the unborn babies of America. Help us to honor the lives You have created and allow them to be born to life outside of the womb. Have mercy on us for all the 35 million precious children whose lives were taken in the womb of their mothers. Father, these children will never be able to enjoy the warmth of sunshine on their faces or the thrill of their first bicycle ride. They will never be able to use the gifts and talents You placed in them. Forgive us for our own selfish attitudes that allow abortion to continue as an endorsed and defended practice in this nation.

Father, help us to be salt and light in this world of darkness. Let us not participate in anything that does not honor You. Help us to stand strong on the Word and in the power afforded us by the Precious Blood of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this beautiful day and for the countless blessing that you give with it. Father I pray for our President that you would keep him holy for You are holy. Give to him a passion to seek you fervently and guard his time with you. May he seek Your will in all decisions and have the courage to follow you. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come to You in praise and in humility. We are in awe that You, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, have adopted us into Your fellowship and let us come before You in praise, worship, and supplication. Lord, we strive to obey You and yet fall so very short; but through Your Son Jesus Christ You forgive us and then help us and guide us. Help us to grow in wisdom and kindness and to seek Your will in all that we do.

Lord, You have blessed us with a very good man as our President ..... a man of integrity and honor who loves his fellow man and loves our country. And yet we know that the goodness that we see in him is through his relationship with You. It is because he turns to You for guidance and counsel that he is able to withstand the immense pressures with which he deals. Lord, continue to bless President Bush. Equip him with the tools that he needs to remain steadfast; give him strength and peace and courage; show him Your will in each decision that he makes. Father, we ask You to bless his family, also. Keep them all safe from harm, both physical and spiritual.

Lord, there are so many things going on in our country that we do not understand; the killing of innocent babies is but one of those things. Father, this brutal practice will continue unless those who value life are placed in the Supreme Court. We pray that Your will be done in regards to judicial appointments and we do so in confidence that it is Your will that the lives of the innocent not be snuffed out even before they are born. Help us to be a part of making these changes in our country. Show us what You would have us to do in order that Your will might be done.

Bless our military, Lord, and their families. Bring comfort and peace to the loved ones of those who have given their lives for our country. In Jesus' name, Amen.
