Thanks for posting that interview- Kile always appeared to lead very modest and professional career and life. He was not one to seek the camera or attention despite his enormous success. Here in St. Louis, the Cardinals are the focal point of the community, and it has been a tough week losing Jack Buck and Kile-

They must have been pulled recently, as they were up there for a long time, enough time for many, many people to comment on Servant's tastelessness. Frankly, it is to Servant of the Nine's benefit that these remarks were pulled, as there won't be any more people who read those original comments and think that he's a jerk.

To any and all relatives who knew and loved the late Darryl Kile, and are suffering genuine grief at this moment, I offer my condolences. Though as a widow and the mother of children who lost their father at a young age, I know none of them are reading this now, and the fiesty grief expressed by strangers here is all about celebrity worship and the bonding ritual of public mourning, and not about her husband and her family, just as the comments about the game's rescheduling are not about them personally either.
