One sure way to stop the suicide bombers in Israel is to hold the parents responsible for their child's crime.
Today, Palestinian parents willingly and proudly send off their kids to become suicide bombers and commit mass murder inside Israel. In exchange for sacrificing their child, they receive from Saddam Hussein or Saudi Arabia a cash payment of $35,000.
The Israeli Knesset should pass a law making it a capital crime to offer a child to become a sacrificial suicide bomber. After all, such sacrifice is tantamount to murdering one's own child. The $35,000 the parents receive should be confiscated and their house appropriated or destroyed. If the suicide bomber knew that he was also condemning his parents to death, he might not be so eager to carry out his mission.
The most recent attacks against civilian buses in Jerusalem packed with school children and commuters indicate that strong preventive measures are necessary to end these massacres. It is doubtful that Palestinian parents, knowing that they will be held responsible for their child's crime, will approve of having their child used as a suicide bomber.
At present, the parents who abet and encourage the suicide bombings suffer no consequences for their actions. They receive their $35,000 and can purchase new apartments or cars or whatever. Since they so proudly proclaim their child's crime of murdering Israelis, they should be made to pay the price of their child's crime.
The Israelis should make an example of at least one such Palestinian family, by confiscating their reward, imprisoning them, trying them for the crime of contributing to the murder of their own child, and if found guilty, executing them.
Putting such parents on trial would show the world what kind of demented individuals these parents are. It would reveal the depth of their hatred of Jews to the point that they are willing to turn their children into suicidal bombers. This kind of demented hatred and motivation would show the world what Israel is up against.
Just as the Germans under the Nazis became sadistic barbarians, likewise the Palestinians under Arafat have become equally barbaric, lacking the very basic principles of normal behavior that make civilization possible. And they are doing all of this in the name of Allah!
In a previous article, we urged the Israeli government to create a new settlement for every attack by a suicide bomber. Apparently, the government didn't care for that idea. What they are doing now is reoccupying territory once under Palestinian control. But will that stop the suicide bombers?
No. But executing the parents will.

Israel is losing thi slow level war.
Israels should use all their military might to annex the west bank.
Remove all the Arabs.
Then treat the neighboring countries as hosts to terrorism when the Palies launch attacks from their newest havens of terror.
Israel-They want you dead just as the most recent poll stated. They and the world are never going to like or accept you no matter where you reside so do what best for Israel.

Natan Lewin made a similar proposal awhile back. Has any one got the link to it? Thanks!

Here is my idea, which I think is better and more workable.
Land for Terror
The IDF shouldn't occupy interior PA towns, even terror nests. Israel does not need to occupy more "islands" in a hostile sea.
Instead, Israel should announce the following policy:
After each new terror attack, the IDF will take and hold a 1K wide strip on the PA side of the Green Line. It may be wider or narrower in specific locations as suits the terrain, or the land may be taken in chunks where it will best suit the Israeli tactical advantage. (There are 6,000 square kilometers in the West Bank, annex a total of 100 to 200 square kilometers after each attack.) Push all the muslims eastward out of this 1K strip into the rest of the PA, let Arafat feed and house them.
Turn the 1K strip into a cordon sanitaire, a free fire zone which is as good as the billion dollar mega wall at preventing infiltration, and has the benefit of being moveable eastward as needed. Any non IDF seen in the 1K strip are to be fired upon immediately.
Bulldoze every structure in the 1K strip and truck away the rubble. Leave not one house for the Palestineans to demand to return to. Tell them "you have no house here, this land is lost to you forever. Thank Hamas, Hizbollah and Islamic Jihad for the loss of your land."
After each new attack, move the cordon sanitaire strip 1K eastward, and permit Israelis to settle the now fallow land previously taken.
Eventually the Palestineans will either revolt against their terrorist organizations for causing the loss of their land, or they will find themselves all in refugee camps in a few tiny patches right against the Jordan River.
(The giant billion dollar wall now being built is a mistake: it grants permanent control over the land on the other side to the Palestineans, no matter what future atrocities they may commit, or what heavy weapons they smuggle in.)

I have advocated this for about a year, take out the parents
grandparents sisters and brothers of murdering bombers. Take out their their dogs and cats and level their homes.
Let the world know that this is the price of their terror. Let world opinion be damned and in a very short time the terrorist attacks would stop.

What would you expect the reaction would be from our
State Department to such a policy?

They would say its its "excessive force," "contributing to the cycle of violence," and "creating an obstacle to peace" to have suicide bombers families held criminally responsible for the conduct of their malignant offspring.

One thing is for sure, the present, come on down and blow up a bus, scenario will not last. If I was an Israeli, I would be demanding a solution, at the same time I was volunteering my time and talents to help. I don't think shoot the parents, is going to fly, but your idea has merit. Israel needs a buffer zone, a big one, and a way to recognize who she lets in and who she doesn't, which I at present, see as an impossible task.

What would you expect the reaction would be from our State Department to such a policy?
It wouldn't change an iota.
"Our" state department -- and its execrable "foreign service" would still be as envy motivated and hatred and rage driven as today and as toadying toward and as lickspittling at our enemies -- and Israel's -- as it is today!
To: Joe Boucher
The Soviets would have mailed the bomber's sister to his mother. In small pieces. Pickled in jars.

Good thing blumenfeld isn't king of the US. In Joseph Story's "Commentaries on the Constitution" he comments on Article III, Section 3:
§ 1294. It is well known, that corruption of blood, and forfeiture of the estate of the offender followed, as a necessary consequence at the common law, upon every attainder of treason. By corruption of blood all inheritable qualities are destroyed; so, that an attainted person can neither inherit lands, nor other hereditaments from his ancestors, nor retain those, he is already in possession of, nor transmit them to any heir. And this destruction of all inheritable qualities is so complete, that it obstructs all descents to his posterity, whenever they are obliged to derive a title through him to any estate of a remoter ancestor. So, that if a father commits treason, and is attainted, and suffers death, and then the grandfather dies, his grandson cannot inherit any estate from his grandfather; for he must claim through his father, who could convey to him no inheritable blood. 3 Thus the innocent are made the victims of a guilt, in which they did not, and perhaps could not, participate; and the sin is visited upon remote generations. In addition to this most grievous disability, the person attainted forfeits, by the common law, all his lands, and tenements, and rights of entry, and rights of profits in lands or tenements, which he possesses. And this forfeiture relates back to the time of the treason committed, so as to avoid all intermediate sales and incumbrances; and he also forfeits all his goods and chattels from the time of his conviction. 4
§ 1295. The reason commonly assigned for these severe punishments, beyond the mere forfeiture of the life of the party attainted, are these: By committing treason the party has broken his original bond of allegiance, and forfeited his social rights. Among these social rights, that of transmitting property to others is deemed one of the chief and most valuable. Moreover, such forfeitures, whereby the posterity of the offender must suffer, as well as himself, will help to restrain a man, not only by the sense of his duty, and dread of personal punishment, but also by his passions and natural affections; and will interest every dependent and relation, he has, to keep him from offending. 5 But this view of the subject is wholly unsatisfactory. It looks only to the offender himself, and is regardless of his innocent posterity. It really operates, as a posthumous punishment upon them; and compels them to bear, not only the disgrace naturally attendant upon such flagitious crimes; but takes from them the common rights and privileges enjoyed by all other citizens, where they are wholly innocent, and however remote they may be in the lineage from the first offender. It surely is enough for society to take the life of the offender, as a just punishment of his crime, without taking from his offspring and relatives that property, which may be the only means of saving them from poverty and ruin. It is bad policy too; for it cuts off all the attachments, which these unfortunate victims might otherwise feel for their own government, and prepares them to engage in any other service, by which their supposed injuries may be redressed, or their hereditary hatred gratified. 6 Upon these and similar grounds, it may be presumed, that the clause was first introduced into the original draft of the constitution; and, after some amendments, it was adopted without any apparent resistance. 7 By the laws since passed by congress, it is declared, that no conviction or judgment, for any capital or other offences, shall work corruption of blood, or any forfeiture of estate. 8 The history of other countries abundantly proves, that one of the strong incentives to prosecute offences, as treason, has been the chance of sharing in the plunder of the victims. Rapacity has been thus stimulated to exert itself in the service of the most corrupt tyranny; and tyranny has been thus furnished with new opportunities of indulging its malignity and revenge; of gratifying its envy of the rich, and good; and of increasing its means to reward favourites, and secure retainers for the worst deeds. 9
And then there is a Biblical reference about the "sins of the fathers...."
Guess these don't work in reverse per blumfeld.
Regards
J.R.

You are WRONG. If Israel began executing parents, you can bet that the UN would step in, and remember, SYRIA is in charge of the UNSC right now. The UN would demand an intervention, and the USA would be loath to veto an intervention against the Israeli "cold blooded execution of innocent civilians". I know it's an upside down world, and the UN never cares about the terror attacks, but that is the reality we live in.
OTOH, my approach is radical BUT DO-ABLE, (pushing muslims out of the annexed strip); at only about 2% of the West Bank at a time after each terror attack this could be done without instigating a massive UN intervention, blockade, sanctions etc.
To: wita
The status quo cannot last. If there is a better plan than "Land for Terror", I have not heard it.
Executing parents is what the terrorists would LOVE. /1/ More holy martyrs for Allah, /2/ Whipping up white hot anger among the uncommitted, /3/ Revolting the world leading to a UN intervention against Israel in the form of blockades and sanctions.
The Palis welcome more death: Pali death, Israeil death, they love death. Taking and annexing West Bank land, that is what they cannot stand.

Execute the entire family and the next step is the total destruction of refugee camps. One homicidal bomber, one refugee camp and Israel ought to announce that they will be going for the maximal number of casualties with civilians not off limits. 60% of the Palies say they support homicidal bombings, let's see what they say, when they may cost their own lives. The Palies have been secure and safe on the sidelines cheering, so they won't mind dying for their beliefs.

I guess Blumenfeld is making up for that excellent and widely quoted article he wrote a few months ago.

This one is outstanding. I wonder how we go about getting it to Sharon.....beats his wall hands down.

Hey...keep the dogs and cats out of this! I have yet to here of a muslim cat...although in the states we have dogs undergoing trials for racist behavior (ie the dog recently accused of racial profiling). LOL.
But keep the cats out of this!
