But it's not constitutional for the President to be visiting with senior citizens .... why is he even doing it? ...... /sarcasm

Can you believe that on another thread today, one of the whining weasels actually said something like that! There are some very embittered people on FR these days. Maybe we should all add them to our prayer lists ...... they certainly need help.

Lord, I saw that thread thanks to Howlin. I think we are seeing the true colors of some freepers. I guess sitting behind a desk 10 hours a day would serve the country better. /sarcasm

LOL, but it's getting really hard to find something to knock Dubya about when you have to complain about his going to visit a senior center. :o)

You're right, kayak, about the bitterness expressed here on FR by so many.

I truly do understand some of the concerns.

I have some of them, too......but every time I see President Bush - and especially every time I pray for him and his administration and this country - I truly can commit those concerns to the God upon whom we stand as our Rock and our Salvation. And, I thank God every single day that we even have the possibility of having President Bush in office at this crucial time in our history.

(and, I imagine every day what if it were Algore????)

(or worse, yet, what if it were Hillary???)

And one more thing - I really have been reading about President Washington and how he was beset from day one by tremendous criticisms and enemies to the point that at the end of his 2nd term, he felt he was a failure as a President. Yet it was his character and wisdom and self-giving and determination to keep our nation united and at peace that set the foundation upon which America was built.

I know that President Washington would be so grieved to see what has happened to his beloved country today. All those who bled and died to bring us peace and freedom would be also (and maybe they see it from their "heavenly seats"....

I simply wish we could all unite to fight in prayer and in service to our country (and our families and communities) but remain civil and decent towards those with whom we disagree. (But I read that Washington's enemies resorted to the press to attempt to damage our first President just as the press today is allied with those who want to destroy this President.).

Well - enough about this. It is a pure miracle of God's grace that this country has survived this long. We can only pray and work for God's continued grace to us - because, as President Bush said so simply and so eloquently:

"FREEDOM NEEDS AMERICA!" Without America - I truly believe freedom will be snuffed out in the world - as we are God's gift of the light of freedom for all of history.

President Bush has the clarity of vision to see this. He is truly a great man.

This is one of the reasons I check FR articles but not always the posts (the Dose being an exception, of course). The negativity of some of the posters make me believe that they are "infiltrators" trying to turn the Base against Bush. It's also one of the reasons I stopped listening to Rush. If I want to hear Bush bashing I'll watch the mainstream news.
