But Murray argued that this still deprives the 100,000 military women....stationed overseas of a basic right enjoyed by women at home.
Murray is an idiot, the second you sign-on with the military, you lose "basic rights"....

Blood on their hands.
God bless those who voted against this horror.
Abortion will be the ruin of this country.

Hmmmm...I'd like to see a measure proposed whereby military chicks who need abortions (for other than rape/incest/REAL DANGER to MOTHERS LIFE)are summarily DISMISSED from the military.

But Murray argued that this still deprives the 100,000 military women and dependents stationed overseas of a basic right enjoyed by women at home. Thanks to fighting libs and fellow conservatives, I've been through the entire Constitution and haven't found that "right" listed anywhere. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thats funy, I could have sworn our armed forces were "abroad" to protect us and fight the enemy, not have sex. Silly me!
Getting pregnant while on duty should result in a Court Marshall and a dishonorable discharge. Getting pregnant is is a result of a cognitive choice - a choice which if one makes, the individual knows will hinder the duty they have sworn to undertake.

There's one little detail Sen. Murray and her ilk have forgotten; while their measure may allow abortions at military hospitals, they cannot force practicioners to provide them. When the Clinton Administration tried this same bit a few years back, the European edition of "Stars and Stripes" polled all the ob-gyn specialists assigned to military hospitals in that region. Not a single physician said they would perform abortions if the proceedure was allowed in their hospitals.
One more thing: women in the military tend to be more responsible that their civilian counterparts, so the number of "accidental" pregnancies is lower. Women who do become pregnant are either trying to start their families, or (in some cases) getting pregnant to receive more benefits and lighter duty. I either case, women in these categories will not choose to terminate their pregnancies.
BTW, I can't wait for the follow-up when Senator Murray that the pro-abortion crowd discover that none are being peformed in military hosptials, despite their legislative "triumph." What's next? A measure to force military ob-gyn specialists to perform abortions?

Tax dollars provide abortions? I hope not.
Maybe they need to study this.

"Women who are on the frontline and defending us in this war on terrorism ... are the least protected in terms of the right to make choices," Snowe said.Sure. Use the war on terror to create terror for dismenbered infants. Some logic, aye?
Not with my tax dollars. It's against my religion.

What a loon....another reason for term limits.

Is there a Roll Call vote on this on
Senate site?
Sorry I am in a hurry. Going to noon Mass.

This may not be as bad as it looks. When Clintoon lifted the ban in '93, the European theatre Stars and Stripes was reporting that there weren't any military doctors (at least in Europe) willing to do the procedure! Ha!!! There was one doc (in Germany?) who was undecided at first, but he soon decided against it.

Hint! Keep your legs together and do your job, or find another who'll let you whore around successfully.

How likely is it that any surgeons in the military would be willing to perform abortions? Even if the House passed this bill (which it won't) and President Bush signed it (unlikely), there would be no legal compulsion to force any military personnel to perform them.

This is sick. But you know what? The US Senate is now Hillary's mouthpiece. It's her little kingdom. Everything that comes out of there is what she wants. It's what the Demo-nazi's, the cult of death, want.
Yesterday I saw a NARAL pro-choice ad on TV.
But we don't have any more of the Arthur DeMoss ads that say: Choose Life.
Anytime the word "Senate" comes up now - we can just assume it is not speaking for the United States, nor for its citizens. It is speaking for the DEMONCREEPS who are bound and determined to take this country down the road to destruction no matter what it takes.
Surely people will wake up one day and see that the "party of death" is not good for this country - just as it is not good for the little ones whose lives will be lost because they hold so much power.

I just hope somebody doesn't start playing abortion politics with these overseas assignments.
