NABLUS, West Bank (CNN) -- At the end of a week in which Palestinians killed 31 Israelis in terror attacks, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said in a newspaper interview he was ready to accept a proposal first made by U.S. President Bill Clinton as a framework for a Mideast peace settlement.

Typical of the dishonesty and bad faith of the Palestinian Authority. Note that we've seen stories about how Arafat didn't really reject this proposal ... and how he only pretended to reject it to make Clinton look good or some other such nonsense.

Now they want the benefit of negotiations they've long since poisoned with their murders.

Hello, McFly, Clinton's not calling the shots now.

If you want to contact him though he'll at Mohegan Woods accepting an award on behalf of all Indian Tribes he got gambling licenses for.

Unfortunately any peace plan that actually goes through will look like it has B.J. Clinton's fingerprints (stain?) on it since there are only 5 or 6 issues to resolve anyway. Which means that piece of c**p will probably be invited to any signings and he will strut around like he solved the problems. He is the most disgusting president ever. I will certainly shed no tears when he dies.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Clinton is simply salivating at the potential of getting back in the spotlight over this? Clinton, The Peacemaker. This could be his legacy! Excuse me while I go and deposit my breakfast elsewhere...

If any further proof were needed that this degenerate thug belongs in the ground, this interview provides it. After dragging the region through a bloodbath that's killed and maimed thousands, Arafat now says, "gee, come to think of it, the Barak deal was actually pretty good."

In other words, all the slaughter and suffering on both sides has been utterly needless.

After this admission, his own people should string him up, and if they had any sense, they would. But if they had any sense, they'd have wasted this fool decades ago.

Arafat is not accepting the proposal that Clinton made at Camp David -- he's accepting the proposal that Clinton says he made at Camp David.

My understanding of that summit was that Arafat rejected the deal without giving it any thought because Clinton and Barak refused to put the terms in writing. Arafat may be a thug and a terrorist, but he's no fool. Stories that circulated afterward indicated that Arafat had never dealt with such an amateur in his life.

Jeez, Dobermann, get a grip. I despise Clinton too, but your comment falls prey to Clinton's own appalling sense of narcissism. Clinton thinks that everything, everywhere, is always about him. And you seem to agree with him.

Well, buy a vowel, dude. This isn't about Our Boy Bill. It's about thousands of people dying in a series of lunatic bloodbaths. And if Clinton could fix it, I'd say, go to work and Godspeed.

Isn't this like Arafat longing for the good old days when Clinton kissed up to him?

Gee, ya think Sharon's plan is working?

He's probably attempting to expel another bodily fluid (in the sink) over it. The Peace at all Costs crowd in the U.S. will jump all over this as, finally, the PATH! Hopefully, Bush will diss that crowd (which includes the entire population of his own State Department), but with Bush and the New Tone stuff, you can never really be certain.

I can't imagine he wants to give Clinton another stage to dance on, but there's been a lot in his dealings with Democrats and their issues that couldn't imagine that he went ahead, so you can't ever be sure...

It's always been utterly needless. The only reason it looks good now is because Israel is taking back the land and there is nothing Arafat can do about it. The tide of public opinion has turned, and he is caught in the undertow . . .

The Anti-Christ will draw up a contract that will get Israel to give up land for peace.
The contract will be for 7 years, but will only last 3.5 years and Israel will be attacked from the north.
When the contract is finally signed, Israel will cry "Peace and security."
The Anti-Christ will promise all kinds of protection in the contract, but will be nowhere to be found when Israel is attacked. He lied.
Heads up Christians. Watch this contract.

I've always felt there was something evil protecting the Clintons. This is the contract from Camp David.
Of course, another was allowed to take the credit. It's not like Clinton to allow credit to go to anyone but himself, yet this time he deserves credit and "gave" it on another. "It's his contract...hehehe."
My personal opinion is that this contract may be the contract spoken of in Revelations. It's also my opinion Clinton was the author of it.
Didn't Clinton also say that anyone who takes the book of Revelations literally should be considered very dangerous? I wonder why?

So the end justifies the means, eh? Do you really think that Clinton gives a rat's ass about the "plight" of the "Palestinian people?" All the man has EVER cared about is himself. Sure, I'd like to see the situation resolved in the ME, but I'd prefer that the PRESENT administration be responsible, not some glory hound, ex-president. Oh, by the way, I'll "get a grip" when Clinton does the proper thing and publically states that he'll do nothing to interfere with the present administration's activities. I hold not my breath.

Fatty Arafat is caught in a "vice" and needs a way out to save face again. Lets hope that President Bush lets Israel play this hand out this time. Notice that when Israel takes the offensive that the Palestinian homicide bombings stop?
