Freep this Poll: Is Nickelodeon's special on gay parents good for kids?

The poll details:
Yes - The program is about tolerance, not sex. Kids need to understand the destructiveness of hate.
"It is never a wrong time to talk about hate. It's just not. That's all our show is about. It is not in any way about the homosexual lifestyle. It's not even introducing the subject to most kids." - Linda Ellerbee, producer of "My Family is Different"
No - It's a cover for promoting homosexuality to children. Nickelodeon has violated the trust of parents.
"Nickelodeon advertises itself as a network that parents can trust, but this effort to promote homosexuality shows that parents should think twice before allowing their children to watch this cable channel." - Andrea Lafferty, Traditional Values Coalition

Over 100,000 people wrote emails to Nickelodeon asking them to please reconsider their decision to air that tripe. I don't advocate children treat anyone unfairly, but young kids the age that watch Nicholodean don't need to be preached to about homosexuality not matter what the cause.

Thanks. I'll have to figure out how you did that...

Kids need to understand the destructiveness of hate. Actually, if KIDS need to understand anything about homosexuality (read: sodomy), it is that this behavior is NOT a normal, healthly "lifestyle" and tends to bring mainly grief and early death to those who practice it.

Does anyone really think kids watched the show? Why would they? Its not an interest of the age group that Nick is targeted at. The show was probably mainly watched by adults who wanted to see what the fuss was all about.

I voted where it counts - by blocking NIK channels in my
satellite dish. Somehow we will be able to get by without
their pro-gay agenda.
To: Jolly Green
Good for you. I need to block it and the HOB channel that features the homosexual "programming".
To: 69ConvertibleFirebird
Voted. Bump.
Let's see what's going on in our culture today:
The Catholic Church is bogged down in a terrible scandal because as a result of homosexual pedophiles in the priesthood.
Meanwhile, Nickelodeon, an ostensibly family-friendly network, runs a pro-homosexual bit aimed directly at kids.
Am I the only one who sees anything wrong with all this??
To: 69ConvertibleFirebird
Our children are losing BIG TIME! This may be a general statement, but my kids didn't watch it and I've since pulled Nick from our Sat Programming, so they'll not be watching it again. My kids were not harmed in any measure due to my diligence, something I would recommend to any parent. Too bad for Nick, going out on a limb for the minority opinion, when they stand to lose the majority. Stupidity in it's simplist form. Blackbird.

Actually, if KIDS need to understand anything about homosexuality (read: sodomy), it is that this behavior is NOT a normal, healthly "lifestyle" and tends to bring mainly grief and early death to those who practice it. It's a major psychological disorder that leads, on average, people to engage in bizarre, filthy and dangerous sexual practices - resulting in disease, unhappiness and death. And then, homosexuals who 'have' kids (by someone else) are denying those kids a mother and father. It's an incredibly selfish thing to do.

Nick is really stupid on this. The Boy Scouts held back the homosexual activist lobby and prevented known homosexual men from being scoutmasters for teenage boys. (A lesson obviously not learned in the Catholic Church.) Boy Scouts in our area are growing dramatically (our town just added another troop and the other troops are growing fast). Our Council is growing rapidly. Homosexuals can live with whatever perversity turns them on. But when they get close to our kids, WATCH OUT! They are making enemies out of everyone.
