[history]
Any lingering possibility that Saddam Hussein would hold power in two years virtually vanished with Bob Woodward's story in last weekend's Washington Post that President Bush ordered the CIA to escalate covert activities to topple the Iraqi dictator.
As well as any policy imperative, the president's political manhood is at stake. Having drawn the line in the sand, he can ill afford to run for reelection with Saddam still a threat. The issue now is how and when he'll be overthrown and with what ramifications.

Hunt is wonderful. He interviews former Clinton officials and other Democrats and finds out that they would handle the situation differntly from Bush and the GOP. This is just shocking!
Maybe we should check the Florida election returns again. Let's see ... yup -- the leftists are still losers.

He's right. There should be a national debate. I vote to blow Saddem off the face of the earth. I guess that's enough dbate.
Let's roll!

What's it going to take for leftists to see the need for action to save ourselves, rather than debate it
ad infinitum? One major city nuked to oblivion? Two? Ten?
Everyone suggesting a polite little debating society while terrorists finish their next plans against us should be forced to answer this question. Their answers to it will reveal the extent to which they hold appeasement more dear than the future of their country. Period.

The mental confusion and hand-wringing impotence of Al Hunt is simply a sight to behold. Al Hunt was the reason I stopped subscribing to the Wall Street Journal. I refused to have my hard-earned dough go to that doofus.

A debate? Poor Al finds himself in the extreme minority and is finding it hard to be heard.
What he really means is that he misses the poll-driven decisions of clinton. Back then, Al felt like part of the decision making process with his fact distorting editorials.

Al Hunt must've slept through the war against MilosovicYou know the cycle -- they all took an 8 year nap.

Al Hunt gets his instructions from the DNC via FAX. They instructed him to get a debate going to knock W's poll numbers down a bit more.
