The Republican Party can claim the allegiance of just over a third of California's registered voters -- and about the same proportion of the state's legislative and congressional seats. The GOP is down to just one statewide office, a relatively minor one, and has won just one top-of-the-ticket election in the last 12 years.

This phenomenon of Republicans has ever been so since Teddy Roosevelt opposed Wm. Taft and Nelson Rockefeller turned his Rhino back on Barry Goldwater, just as the scottish barons abandoned William Wallace (Braveheart) at the battle of Falkirk.

This Parsky fellow is really getting on my nerves as well. He seems more interested in protecting his power than the good of the party. Sheesh........

That's because some of them are Republicans and some of them (probably most of them) are moderate to liberal Democrats masquerading as Republicans. does this guy think we should just shut up and pretend we agree with seriously flawed policies?
