Prayers being said as we type for your father's healing, in Jesus' name. As someone who has worked in the medical field for some years, and whose daughter is an RN, I can tell you that there are a lot of incompetent doctors out there. If you have any doubts at all, get a second opinion. Therapy can work wonders with stroke patients if it's done properly. If your doctor doesn't want you to get a second opinion, you have a problem with your doctor.

My prayers go out to you and your Dad on this Father's Day. With the Socialist Medical system we have now, you almost have to doctor yourself and your family.
If I may suggest doing a google.com search of "stroke, breakthrough", you may find the latest treatment for your Dad's type of stroke and mention it to your Doctor. If your not happy with his response don't be shy about asking for a second opinion.
May God bless, and keep you and your family.

Prayers included for your Dad this day.........
Ditto on getting the second opinion GW. More MD's these days seem to "pushers" versus "healers"......at least the one or two I have encountered of late.
Stay Safe !

Rest comfortably knowing that your father is being lifted up in prayer to The Great Physician by many of your friends on the forum. We pray also for peace and comfort to you and your family. These are not mere words expressed. There is action behind the words that say, "We are praying for you."
May GOD Bless you and your family as you continue to serve Him and witness to the Glory of GOD.

My prayers will be for your father, you, your family and for his physican. At 85 my grandmother had a series of small stokes and managed to recover from each of them.

I will keep your father in my prayers. I lost my father 13 years ago and there is rarely a day goes by that I don't think of him with a grateful heart.
Dear God,
Please rest Your hand of healing upon Mr. Moore. Cause his strength to be replaced by Your strength. Repair all the damage of the stroke, and let every part of his body return to its proper function. We thank You, Father, that You have given us these earthly fathers to treasure and to honor. We commit this wonderful father to You, knowing that You love him immeasurably, and understanding that You will take care of all his needs. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Great Physician, we pray. Amen.

National Stroke Association The public is dangerously misinformed about stroke. Our mission is to reduce the incidence and impact of this life-threatening medical condition. Were here to save lives, improve quality of care and increase patient outcomes.
Established with this compelling mission, National Stroke Association has grown to be the leading resource for stroke. NSA is the only national non-profit organization in the United States devoting 100 percent of its resources to stroke through a variety of innovative and high impact programs. We provide education, services and community-based activities in prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery. NSA serves the public and professional communities people at risk, patients and their health care providers, stroke survivors, and their families and caregivers.

Prayers for your father have been sent in the Name of Jesus. I will continue praying for him. Greg, please consult other doctors. Too many times older doctors do not keep up with current procedures, and this doctor may not be providing the right care for your father. Don't worry about hurting the doc's feelings, or making him mad. This is your dad's life, and you have every right to seek other opinions. God Bless you and your family!
