latest Enquirer on Levy-Condit

The National Enquirer | 2002 06 17

Items from the latest Enquirer story (rolling out in newsstand/supermarkets over the weekend) I found to be new information:

1. The running tights were at the base of the tree, perhaps indicating Levy had been tied to it and tortured.
2. The bracelet Condit gave her was not at the scene.
3. Her keys were not at the scene, perhaps lending credibility to the theory that someone scrubbed her apartment. (Recall no Condit memntos were found in her apt.)
4. The source for the above items is a retired California sheriff (who they named) said to be "close to the investigation."
5. Grand jurors in April repeatedly asked Condit about his relationship with Levy, he dodged and said things like "I can't answer that." The prosecutor broke in to tell the jury to only to ask about obstruction of justice charges. (Plummz note: Of course, prosecutors have no authority to limit a grand jury enquiry, but barely anyone knows that these days, which comes in handy in coverups.)
6. Many Condit staffers have begun cooperating with the investigation. However, Michael Lynch's lawyer said no comment and Dayton's lawyer did not return a phone call when The Enquirer asked if they appeared before the grand jury. (Or perhaps vice versa, I forget.)

I had assumed that she was tied to a tree when they noted the leggings were knotted at the ends. For me, that's another tick in the column for Ingmar, or someone like him.

i believe the ONLY way to find out the truth is to organize a viligante group, stretch out condidit's arms and legs until he squeals the truth. maybe include a hot lighter near his vitals for prompting. then send the video to Fox News for all to see. what crimes would be committed here??

He was a big investor in the group that bought up all the supermarket tabloids a few years ago. I don't know what level of his participation in that group is, or if it's changed since then. It's also possible that group has sold some or all of its interst since that time.

Not yet but I have a feeling he's going to get away with it.....I mean 25 years later they put this beast on trial....I guess the cops were all paid off the hush up about the murder......

How did the NE miss the leg bone? Seems they do all their investigative reporting sitting at a desk gossiping.
