Holy Crap! I bet it was an inside job. Why would a gun be at the INS.. doesn't that sound strange? Isn't just an agency that administrative staff would work out of.. no one like an officer...right? I would think anyone needing a gun at the INS would have it on them as a concealed firearm.. Any comments about this? That sounds kind of fishy!

Most of the INS stamps could be created by a 10 year-old using an office supply do-it-yourself kit. There's nothing at all elaborate about them, just plain old red-ink text.

you know, i can't believe this...is the entire government incompetent?
To: kristinn
I'm not sure if someone with a stolen INS stamp could let in more terrorists than the INS does already on its own?
To: kristinn
What is the Washington Dispatch? Is it credible? Is anyone else reporting this story and do officials have any reason to believe that this burglary was perpetrated by terrorists?
To: kristinn
Oh, no they stole a GUN!!
Bring in the ATF. Seriously though, I wonder where a gun came from in a federal office.

LOL! Tell me that there is no conspiracy now folks! This all ties together like a jigsaw puzzel.
Dead witnesses in georgia.Other folks terrorized. Theft of uniforms and other related thefts. Explosives missing.

Yeah, just the usual. INS giving away the keys to the kingdom. Yawn.
To: kristinn
I'm sure with their stellar controls each stamp will have a unique ID and all they will have to do is ask those with the id to have their passports restamped. Wait, I was thinking the INS was competent.

Thanks for posting this Kristinn. Maybe if there are enough of these "incidents" relating to illegals....
(am I being judgemental here?), then more people will wake up and take the problem seriously and resolve to do something about it. This one, I'm afraid, is going to fall completely on the people to deal with though. It seems that neither political party has a taste for doing what needs to be done. The Rats see
illegal votes and the Republicans see cheap labor and the people who, when informed, are largely anti-illegal-immigration are stuck with the consequences. It is spinning out of control and the long range effects will devastating, but our so-called leaders seem to be very short-sighted, opting instead for the promotion of their immediate politcal agenda.

So now even profiling won't work. We need to close the borders all together and leave them that way.

Ok, where is that thread that was to contain all incidents that were suspicious? We do need to record these things around the U.S. that are suspicious to tie some together if needed.
I can't help but believe this equipment is to be used by terrorists to short cut going through our immigration services at all. This would make any changes to INS worthless.
It also leads credence to the fact that they probably had people inside the INS to slip the terrorists through. With coming changes to the department - those people might have been incapacitated. Therefore - they just get the necessary forms and stamps and do their own. The fact that they knew where to find the stuff also speaks to inside info.
