House Intelligence Committee member Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., alleged Sunday that the August 6 terrorist alert received by President Bush contained a key detail that was omitted from a similar briefings given to Congress.
"What we saw in Congress in that same 24-hour period did not have the reporting that referenced hijacking," she told NBC's "Meet the Press." "That was a distinction between what Congress saw and what the White House saw."
Though Pelosi said that she didn't think the Aug. 6 briefing was enough to "warrant action on the part of the president," she went on to hint that Bush overlooked key evidence that might have predicted the 9-11 attacks.
"I think the distinction has to be made that for some reason, on that early day in August, someone in the intelligence community decided to put all of those events on one piece of paper," Pelosi observed.
The California Democrat stressed that while congressional intelligence committees had received much of the same information that was in Bush's pre-Sept. 11 briefing, "We had seen it over a period of time. We did not see it in the aggregate as the president did that day."
While some Democrats have backed away from earlier suggestions that Bush knew enough to prevent the Sept. 11 attacks, Pelosi joins a cadre of liberals who continue to insinuate otherwise.
On Wednesday, Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., said that historians will judge Bush accountable for the 9-11 attacks because they happened on his watch. (See: Dodd: 9-11 Attacks Happened on Bush's Watch)
Not if Bubba Bush and Janet Ashcroft have anything to say about it,they won't. The White House and Justice Department are officially on record as stating the federal government has the right to regulate firearms.Spin it any way you want, but a White House that says on the one hand that owning or possessing guns is a individual right, and then turns around and goes on record to state they have the right to regulate these rights ain't a friend of mine. They are also dishonest, which is nothing new.
and you want Democrats nominating and approving the next two Supreme Court Justices who will be making that decision, one that will probably last for the next century or more...
Seems like this is the club the RNC loves to hold over our head to get us to go along with any damn thing they want, including gun control. "OOOHHH! If you don't vote for us and our limited gun control, things will be much worse under the Dims!". Guess what? I'm tired of hearing that crap! We had a chance to get a friendly SC to review the un-Constitutional "Domestic Violence" HorseHillary, and Bubba Bush and Janet Ashcroft went into a full-tilt panic over it. Screw them! If the gooberment wants my guns, let them come and take them. I'm done playing kissy-face with RINO's.
And you are on record (above) as stating that you are going to vote for Democrats. It's pretty clear which side you're on. You said so yourself.
Nor is gun control the only critical court issue. Roe v Wade is due to be reviewed by the SCOTUS in the next few years. You admit that California Democrats vote pro-choice instead of pro-life, but you still say that you are going to vote for Democrats this fall.
Are those the only Conservative issues at stake?
No. Numerous Democrats are on record as being opposed to our national missile defense just as Iran and North Korea are approaching the capacity to launch long range missiles at us.
And you have said (in this very thread) that you are going to vote for them.
Telling...
And you have said (in this very thread) that you are going to vote for them.
No,I didn't. Try to pay attention, here. I never once said I was going to vote for ANYBODY in California, much less a Ca Dim. I don't even live in California. Nor did I say I was going to vote for the Dim opponets of RINO's in the northeast. I said I was going to vote for whatever Dim ran against Giddy Dolt, and I AM going to do this. Giddy is the Republican-Lite version of Bubbette!,and her family are life-long Dim leftists. They only "converted" (ROFLMAO!) over to the Republican Party for business reasons. Those being she married Bob Dolt, and needed to be a registered Republican so he could get her patronage jobs paying big bucks. Remember the nationwide 55 MPH speed limit? Thank Bob and Giddy Dolt.
Telling...
Really? What does it tell you, other than you are a propogandist for the coming police state that is willing to distort others positions?
And you're on record as wanting to vote for a Democratic Senate candidate.
Forget overturning Roe V Wade. Forget supporting gun rights. Forget national missile defense. Oh no, you'll sacrifice all of those issues because you don't like Libby Dole.
You are no friend of Conservatives, and you certainly don't understand politics (especially that whole majority thing that democratic republics rely upon)...
Language de jour here on the west coast. The SacBEE here in Sacramento has no compulsion to abide with the facts in its goal to indoctrinate the population with their false opinions.
No,YOU forget all that stuff. Giddy Dolt doesn't approve of any of them. Want to tell me again why I should support her?
You are no friend of Conservatives, and you certainly don't understand politics (especially that whole majority thing that democratic republics rely upon)...
No,YOU are the one who doesn't understand politics. If you did,you wouldn't continue to throw your support behind people who don't support ANY of the political stands you claim are important. If you keep blindly supporting candidates you don't approve of,don't be surprised when candidates like this are the only ones the RNC runs. One definition of insanity is to continue doing something you KNOW won't work,in the vain hope that this time it WILL. YOU vote for Giddy Dolt. I'm done with things like that.
